Watched the latest X Games on Sky the other day - the one with Travis Pastrana doing his double backflip. They also had timed runs in Grp N Impreza's including Pastrana and McRae. The commentator introduced him as Colin Maaaac-Rae and then went on to say he has an OBE and is therefore Sir Colin!!! You gotta love the yanks.

In the timed runs McRae managed to roll on landing over a gap jump and still come second fastest - which had the crowd going mad.

 

yeah i seen that programme. They had the best rally drivers from america there. Colin went round track much quicker than any of them on other laps none of them had anything close to the skill of colin

 

But he only came second!

He would have finsihed 1st if he hadn't gotten up to his usual tricks!

Indeed, hes probably written off more Subaru's in his time than the entire population of SN

 

yeah but before he rolled it he was well in front of americas best driver. he knows how to handle a scoob

 

I can't see him being well in front, that roll only cost him about 2 seconds!!!

he also won the world championship in a scoob and if he hadnt do u think they would be as popular today. granted the guy is a bit reckless but he knows how to drive if he could control himself he would still be driving rally cars

 

Think he got a flat (plus other damage!) which may have cost him a bit more time.
