Is it a Japanese import or an European import?

How can there possibly a 5 month wait (especially for the 5 door)?

Surely they stopped making them a few months ago and it only takes 3months by boat?

Odd.

That is cheap, but the prices have already crashed.

Showroom4Cars source some of their vehicles from other European countries so the dealer in that country has to get the car from Japaen, and then ship it over to the UK.

Don't believe everything you read!!

In April this year I was on the verge of buying a Euro import 5 door from Showroom4cars.

After many e-mails and telephone conversations they finally owned up that they couldn't get hold of one.

Still saw them advertising them on their web site for months afterwards.

Subaru stopped making MY00 months ago. This web site hasn't been updated. The price showroom4cars quote would have been about right back in Feb/March for a Holland/Belgium supplied, UK car.

A mate of mine got a Japanese spec WRX (non STI) from Showroom4cars in June this year. I think that they got it from Japan via a dealer in Cyprus. He did have to ring them quite a few times to chase them up, but in the end they got him the car that they had promised.

I dunno if it is an import or not. I just happened to see an ad for the site, so I had a look and bunged in Scooby Turbo to see what would come up.

Clearly, they have their good and bad points. I was more surprised at the price to be honest. But who the hell would wait 6 months for what is now an old model. And given the number of 2nd hand ones around, it didn't quite add up!

But live and learn!

There are loads of importers who quote cars they don't have (and may not be able to get) to intice you in. I ordered a UK spec car in April from a Euro Importer who promised me a car that they had as a cancelled order (delivery May). After much fighting and bull**** I eventually got my money back in September.
