I have a problem.....

I need help....(in more ways than one)

I currently own a 2001 WRX UK300, it has done 50k miles and is also PPP'd very nice and quick enough for me....

I went to pick up my beloved impreza last week from its 50k service and saw an unregistered 2005 Legacy 2.5 with leather and sat nav in black, really looked the part, so i took it for a test drive, very very impressed even though it was an auto...

So here is the deal...

The dealer is willing to give me £12500 for my imprezza against the legacy....very generous....

The legacy is up for £19500 saving 5000 on list price...

It would cost me less on insurance, but the finance would swallow the savings from there, so i would break even.

But i would save money on fuel.

What do i do ???

1. Keep impreza, maybe get a boost controller to improve economy

2. Relax in a legacy

Id stick with the UK300.

Bust the bank and gt them both. Leggy during the week and ipreza at the weekends! Not practical but the ideal solution! Tough call, Id keep the impreza.

 

Id get the legacy, and if its not you, you can always change back a change is as good as anything.

At a glance the legacy looks very much like the saab. Nice looking car but keep the impreza.

 

i'd keep the impreza looks more animal than a laid back executive car

 

keep the impreza imo. that new legacy really does look like a saab as someone else has said.

 

I got an Impreza because I got bored in my Legacy even though it was impeccably behaved in every way. Stay as you are.

 

That's a good trade in value they are offering with the difference in value between the 2 cars and the age difference all it comes down to is your personal preference Ask yourself which you'd prefer

deep down i want to keep the UK300, but the legacy is a more sensible option, specially when i am doing 20k miles a year...

if i get rid of the UK300, it will be a sad sad day

i think there maybe a biased opinion towards the subaru, or is it that the impreza is what i should stick to..

 

don't put yourself through it m8, it will ruin xmas.

With that fantastic trade-in, have you thought about getting the legacy and trading it in 6-months with another scooby dealer against an newer impreza?

Or maybe I should stop on the whisky....

Neither. Go for the 3.0 Spec B Legacy.

 

A good price for the UK300 mind, and a great deal on Legacy. Get what you can now for the scoob ,go for a while with the Legacy, you can always come back.

 

go for an MY05 / 06 or WRX or an STi

 

my thoughts are.....

Its to good a deal to turn down....

and in 6 months if i hate the legacy, i wont have lost much on it, and could trade it in for another prezza....if thats where my heart lies...

Think i am going to do it....
