Default Alicante

Going to Alicante for a cheapish last minute 4 day break with the Missus and 1yr old daughter. Any recommendations on interesting places, shops, beaches etc.?

Thanks

Jay

really good water park in benidorm, has a virtual drop tube from about 150ish feet, about 20 mins away.

also loads of vouchers in airport as you go through into arrivals, my g/f mum lives in javea so fly there every year at some point.

Alicante 20minutes from Benidorm!!???!!....Even I can't manage that doing 160kph on the toll road

40mins if you hammer it. About an hour if you take the N332 during peak times.

Alicante has a good beach which links on to San Juan which is quieter. El Campello is a bit busier, all with your typical beach front bars and shops. All linked by a train and buses. Most of this area is still mainly Spanish still, but you can find the odd English dive dotted around. So don't expect many locals to know English. The city is great, there are lots of bars, shops and restaurants dotted around everywhere, so I can't really say where the hot spots are.

Have a good time
