Default Petrol Problems

I went to Bognor at the weekend and could'nt find a garage that sold super unleaded, so i had no choise but to put unleaded in, would this have done anything to my engine, i never went above two and a half thousand revs and as soon as i saw a BP i filled her all the way up

Model, year, mods ?...market it was made for?

Generally:

UK car...no probs wouldn't make a blind bit of difference
JAP/modded, not ideal, but will be fine if you don't thrash it

Don't panic mate, it'll be fine! They can run on 95RON, they just don't perform as well, the ECU will take care of any adjustments, and once you've got the good stuff back in it, it will re-adjust accordingly.

i always carry a bottle of octane booster with me just incase there's only 95 ron about. as has been said it'll adjust to what you put in it anyway but i like to keep it as high octane as poss.

Ahhh, you're fooked! Big ends will go within 500 miles, your pistons are probably melted, and your windscreen wipers will smear for ever...

Ask Pete Lewis, he'll tell you!
