Angry Watch out the scammers are about

Had this following on from advertising my STi IV for sale:

Hello Phil,
it was nice talking you, also i will like you to know that ,i will be purchasing the STi IV ,and as for the shippment i will handle it,after payment ,the pick up will be made at your place. i have made arrangements with the prepaid shipping company. As regards payment, this is what i am going to do, My representative who resides in the United kingdom will issue 10,000 pounds sterling, i will instruct him to make out a check to you in that amount and as soon as you receive it you will take it to your bank to deposite the check in which it will take three to four day to clear and after then. You can now deduct your money(8,250 pounds sterling) from it and send the remaning funds to my shipper that will come for the pick up at your location, you are to send the money to my shipper via western union money transfer. the money you are sending is for the shippment of the car,the shipper and the engineer to come over to your location, Although the value of the check is more than the asking price but i think i should be able to trust you with my balance. ,because i dont want any delay . So i would like you to deduct the western union charges from the remaning balance that you are to send to my shipper when you receive the check. So if my terms are acceptable to you,i would like you to give me your fullname as you want it on the check, address and phone number so that i can
instruct and fax it to my representative to make out the check to you via ups or
fedex.
Pls get back to me as soon as you get this mail so that we can round
things up in a timely fashion.I will be trusting in this business
transaction.
THANKS,
micheal

He had previously mailed me asking for pictures (the ones on here are admittedly 4 years old) so I sent him some new ones, and followed that up with a call this morning. Distinctly African voice, very bad line, so the call went nowhere.

What reply should I send (have already notified Yahoo that michealdfurlong@yahoo.com appears to be trying it on!)? And don't worry, I have spotted that it is a scam, hence this post!

Cheers

Loads of threads on here about this. The cheque clears at your bank, but 3-6 weeks later, is not cleared through Western Union, probably stolen cheque, so your bank takes all the money back out of your account! You are now down £1,750 and your car is long gone!
