Had 1 on saturday doing a nice speed on the A1 and I sh!te myself..... had blow outs before but on FWD cars, easy enough to handle etc but the scoob had a mind of its own..... just wondered if any1 else has come close with one?
I had a blowout in the outside lane of the M6 at 80mph, just as I was supposed to be turning off onto the M61, so had to cross five lanes of traffic and switch the wheel on the sliproad. It was surprisingly easy to control though, and at no point did I feel in danger. Took a while for the wheel to cool down before I could take it off though !
It was the nearside rear OE Bridgestone Potenza that popped, and I had to suffer the rest of the journey home at 50mph on the horrible yellow skinny wheel !

With all the drag on an Imprezas' drivetrain I'm surprised they don't just stop when you get a puncture.
Everytime I drive one you seem to have to stay on the throttle, the moment you lift off the car slows down like you've released a parachute.

I bashed a rock in the Fiesta at '60mph' ahem, it took a credit card size piece of sidewall with it so the tyre deflated imediately
I just slowly backed off and rolled to a halt, no drama, no fuss, nuffin...I actually considered keeping going on it cos I was nearly home and my spare is a right **** to get at

had one under heavy braking on my02 wrx, pulled me into the curb and scubbed the alloy - was on a tyre that had just had a puncture repair ( 6 month old tyre 6 k miles )
complianed to the tyre company that fixed the nail in the tyre and the said " if you are stupid enought to have a tyre repaired on a sports car "
mmm would I ever do that again
was not as bad as the time I had a bolt from the downpipe fall of and lodge it self in the uv joint locking up the stearing mid corner - the garage said it happens all the time but I was unlucky that it lodged

When I had the MY00 the back drivers side went, I did not know until the back end stepped out on a tight left hander! I was managing to keep up with another scoob in front until that point. The tyre had already gone before that bend and I thought it was sliding about as I had just come out of a forest after watching a rally and thought it was mud on the wheels! lol!
