Angry What could cause the Misfire???

Iam after some ideas on where to start looking for a misfire, new to this subaru game, I have a MY02 WRX UK, Started getting a misfire on cylinder 1 and sometimes on 3, just changed the spark plugs to see if this helped, but the problem is still there. Any help would be much appreciated.

if there are the codes stored in the ecu they are red herrings start by changing the neutral switch if that doesn't work see your dealer and get the modded ecu put on

I had my CEL start flashing several months ago on my MY02 WRX so limped it carefully to the dealer who checked it and said I'd had a mis fire (was reading data from ECU) so reset it and it was fine after that. He suggested that it could have been fuel or moisture?

Could that be a possibility with you?

:-)

had this to the dealer, but the car has been modified so they say its out of warranty, it has a ecutek3 remap, decat exhaust, exhaust headers, green filter, blitz dump valve.

Ive been told by someone else, that it could be a faulty maf senser or coil pack (dont know if this is ture or not open to suggestions)

Had the ECU reset a few times lately, via the seccs unit fitted to the car, but the car is still misfiring on cylinder 1 every now and then.

If it's only on Cylinder 1 and it's definitely misfiring I'd suggest the coil packs are the first place to look.
