Default Import V5/Insurance Error

Sorry to post so many new threads but I'm trying to get my head around this import lark...

I've just bought a 2 year old Impreza WRX 5 Dr (Estate)

The V5 says 4 door saloon

2 insurance companies (from the Reg) thought it was an Sti type R

The HPI check came back clear but that said 4 door saloon....

Any idea why this could be? The car was imported new in April 02 - was sold on in August 02 to the Guy I bought it from.

Can I get the it changed so it's recognised as a 5dr WRX?

Cheers,

Rob

Yep, when they try to get my vehicle details up from the reg, it comes up as a GL, somthing to do with some imports I think.

Good for company car tax, my old Evo V was down as a Lancer GL and as it was a company car I didn't complain!!!!

Many years ago now my dad bought an old Hearse, they had the body type as 'Box van' which it clearly wasn't, so he got it changed, when it came back it said 'body van'!!!!!!!

Seems like it's pretty common for them to get it wrong then.

Thanks for putting my mind at ease, I think I'll just forget about it....
