Only very minor - scuffed bumper and broken number plate as it was at sub 5mph on one of the untreated roads near a junction. Two cars in front of me just stopped dead and I slithered into the back of one of them .....
Got out and saw why - as I struggled to stand up!!!

Still

sorry to hear that Mark. Took me an hour and a half to get from B/End to Slough last night! Tried every route I could think of and eventually had to attempt the hill up to Cliveden . Managed it on the second attempt but a 944 + snow = much slippy slidey stuff! Anyway I hope the damage is easily (and cheaply!) fixed.

Went to pick my eldest up from his part time job at Safeway last nite at 7.55.....the store shuts at 8pm.
It was blizzard conditions, or he'd have walked it home:

Anyway, came round into the entrance, only to find the gate on my side shut and locked, and the entry is on a steepish downgrade covered in ice

Slid about 30 feet in a sheer panic, and stopped about 3 inches short of it. Reversing back up it to go in the other entry was another story

I went in and played hell up with the manager!

Sorry to hear that MM, I nearly missed the entrance to my road last night (Wooburn Green). The main road was covered in frozen snow & ice by that time Nine PM.

I'd had the pleasure of the M40 before that. Left work at Stockley Park at 19:15, got home just after Nine PM. I was wondering if the road had been gritted.

Jeremy.
