Just got me SIDC membership pack through.

Having been a member of the long running RSOC for a number of years, I am very impressed with the quality of both the magazine, flyers and SIDC goodies.

Well done top all involved.

P.S Are there really 1173 of us out there....See you all at Bentley Wildfowl then....

How long did it take you to get your pack, and did you have to fill in any extra forms....I joined the SIDC a couple of weeks ago but see nothing about a members pack?

Now that is weird it says that there are 2817 registered uses of the SCOOBYNET BB but only 1173 members joined the SIDC.

Hows that work then??

Printed out and filled in the Form that is on the SIDC web page.

I sent it off just over a week ago (I think). Got it in the post Today and included were the following :

SIDC windscreen sticker 2-Off
SIDC Tax Disc Holder

Various Flyers
SIDC Membership Rules
SIDC Membership Card

Talking about SIDC membership - am I right in thinking that you pay 20 smackers now, and have to pay another 20 smackers on 1st September? Why not just wait till the 2nd September and pay one dollop?

Just joines the SIDC myself.The goodies arrived in the post within one and a half weeks of my sending the form printed off the 'net.

I have the same question about the membership payment? Surely we're not expected to shell out another 20dabs after 3 months? I have noticed that my cheque hasn't been cashed yet, so maybe they're hanging to it 'til September?

 

I posted my form on the Tuesday and received my pack on the Thursday!

£20 isn't much though, is it? So what if you have to fork out again in September. At least they don't charge a joining fee like my golf club.

We had a committee meeting last night and are just about to exceed 1300.

Good point about the number of BBS members and the number of club members, but I suspect the BBS has a lot of non UK members.

I get lots of mails saying "I'm not an SIDC member but can I attend..." Why not join up, find out what's going on and meet up with people who share your passion.

 

People joining after 31st July will get 13 months membership for one year's fees, but you will have missed the chance to attend and vote at this year's AGM which is held at the end of July.
