i saw a thread on this the other day, but i cant find it now...

there was a connection that you can undo to stop the engine sparking so that you can get the oil pressure back up before it fires... where is it ?? and what does it look like ??

is 10/40 fully synthetic acceptable for my MY99 2.0 sport ??

The thread you were referring to may well have been this one.
Even if it wasn't, you'll find the crank position sensor details there.

10/40 is about the right grade for the normally aspirated engine, although it's worth getting a quality one (Shell Helix Plus, Motul 200V, Mobil Super S) rather than a supermarket cheapie, or indeed, Magnatec.
