I have Noton Antivirus protection enabled – but I still keep getting popups (the sort with the OK button on them)

How can I get rid?

If you do get pop-ups -never click OK or cancel

as quite often they do what they want to anyway

Push Alt+F4 - this will force the current active window to close, so you can almost guarentee it has'nt installed some nasty.
