no you wouldnt, he would have tw4tted you then too assuming he knew how to drive it - my best mate has one, and also a scoob, the porker is far faster in all conditions but then at 4 times the cost I should hope it would be !

For C !

Car = STI-8 PPP

HKS Racing Suction Kit
Induction Heat Shield
Battery Relocation Kit
Samco Hose Kit
HKS Sequential BOV
PPP Fuel Pump
HKS Oil Breather & Catch Tank
HKS Turbo Downpipe
HKS De-Cat
HKS Centre Section
HKS Super Drager Back Box
Blitz Iridium spark plugs
Blitz DTT XT Turbo Timer
HKS Bost Controller
Autronics SM2 with Knocklink
SECS Data Unit with Oil Pressure / Temp sensor kit
HKS Analogue Boost Guage.
AP Organic Clutch
AP 6 pots
Lighter, Wider Rims (Not decided)

Mapping higher boost 1.6 bar or tailing it off to 1.45,

This will be the State of the car as of the end of the month, I think it would be fair competition.

But there is absolutely nothing to take a 911 on. Subabru will never produce a car in the same league and if I had the money the Scoob would go without a second thought for a 911 turbo

as for the 575, i know what happened at the end of the day the guy couldn't drive the car.

nellie,
can your motor do 0-100 in 9.2? I'm impressed if so.
The 911 turbo (not gt2/3) has 420bhp, 3.6 litre TWIN turbo so low lag. I really don't think you can take it with your 325BHP sti.
porker is 4WD too so don't spout twisties
Oh and it tops out at around 190mph

clubby,
No offence but it weren't a turbo The 911 Carerra is an easier kill however

Red face

a decent classic with a few choice mods could easy take the porker
WAKE UP FROM YOU SLEEP STICKY - We are talking about a 911 turbo here, 420 bhp.......I would love to know what choice mods give 146bhp.

I have a scooby wagon and got totally blown away by a 911 RS a few weeks ago
Sense at last - the RS's are Porsche best cars (for me), race cars for the road - if you ever get the chance to go in a 964 (260bhp) or 993 (300bhp) RS you will never forget it. Lightweight, noisy, suspension that makes an EVO soft, incredible!

The humiliation.... the shame.... arrggghhhh need more power....

Going to work (Leicester to Nottingham) this mornin. Usually see a rather nice 51 reg 911 Turbo coming the other way...

Well today I went the back route (through nice country roads) to J23 M1... saw fast approaching car in mirror... so booted it and stayed ahead for the 1 km to the M1 junction. Realise its the 911 I normally see. So think - "come get some"

Anyway - start going down slip road on to M1... flaw it - max revs - fast gear changes.. "have that sucker" i think - im in the "slow lane"....... i know why they call it that now

..... 911 simply blasted past me at what seemed like me-going-backwards-pace... left me for dust... and the dude is ON THE BLOODY MOBILE PHONE as he humbles me... LOL

Oh well... la de da

Yes, but If you spent the money on a Scoob you would have just wasted a load of money and you will still own an Impreza!

A 911 Turbo is the best road car avaialable today - bt that I mean usable too, every day.

Fantastic.

Also been blown away by a 911 Turbo, on the M25.

No car has ever left me quite so quickly. Astonishing pace.

...But not all of us have the money to buy a 911 - i certainly don't. a Spec C is within my reach, and what great satisfaction it would bring me to spank most road-going porsches...

(PS - this is all in good faith )

I know where your coming from... but in 2 1/2 years this is the first time i've some across something to "have a play" with as expensive as that...

I don't think i could warrent the loss of "creature comforts" for a C spec... for 10 secs of fun vs 2 1/2 years of comfort etc

Pays your money - takes your choices i guess

Thumbs up

When I had my old Celica GTi, I deliberately enticed a couple of cars to "show me what they'd got"... and was left in awe and hysterics at the performance.

First time was on the M40, and I spotted an Audi RS2... a bit of weaving behind him in an agressive manner, and, back drops down a fraction, and it just flies off. Excellent.

On a dual carriageway in Warwickshire, came off an island quickly, up behind a Skyline. That went off like an exorcet (sp?) missile. Unreal. I may as well have applied the brakes! Gave him the thumbs up at the next island... he was grinning!

There are some cars that you would like to have a go at, but the likes of 911s tend to embarrass you... so common sense gets the better of you.

Not really most Imprezas, on the secondhand market at least, cost less than a Vectra.

I can't think of a cheaper, faster utility vehicle than a 5 door Impreza. To try and compare it with a 911 Turbo is laughable. No wonder the Impreza lost.

Talking of Skylines im not sure he was trying but I came up behind one the other day, I was behind him and he was behind 2 others can and a tractor, I dropped into 2nd and was waiting for him to boot it past these cars and the tractor we clocked the straight and I saw his back end drop and he jumped onto the other side of the road and that was it, I hit the red line in second and third and kept going after this R33 I was on his bumper but at the top of this road it comes onto a t-junction so I slowed as he did and we both went the same way and I went past him as he was turning into another road he just grinned

Same as I had a go with an Evo 7 I wish I hadn't cos I got slaughtered not so on the straights but as soon as we hit the corners the evo just left me for dust. Ive not had the car long so still not too sure of teh handling capabilities of my MY95 Turbo Wagon.

darren

P.s Would like to know who ownes the R33, if some one in Leeds with a White GTR R33 with poss 17-18" crome wheels comes on this board then Hello

GT2's are even faster still.

Although I would think they would scare most on here who tried to drive one.

460bhp, RWD, no traction control, in fact ABS is the only safelty feature you get.

Spend 20-25k on a used TVR Cerbera 4.5, it'll spank a 911 turbo every day of the week.
Well at least the days it's not in the garrage being fixed.

to quote a classic scooby defence:

until you hit a corner.

I'll grant you that cerbera is flipping quick to 100 though

TVR's a very quick, I love them....however as we all know they are not every day cars.

Find one with 100k miles on it - you won't, theres a reason for that!
