Had a dabble with a 911 Turbo!
Was away yesterday - so bit late in joining this lively thread
Luckily was at Brands where had pleasure of driving track specced 993 (and Morgan Aero 8).
Admittedly was taking it easy in my new WRX03 PPP wagon
but there's ABSOLUTELY no comparisson in terms of handling, brakes, acceleration etc (engine & brakes standard spec - slicks/ roll bar, race exhaust)
As for the 993 RS Turbo out there - boootiful and super-swift
and 2 brand new red GT3s....
But quickest car of the day was a mega-souped up old mini that went around like a cart and a Caterham R500(?)
IF had
a. the money
b. kids left home
c. no kitesurfer/ windsurfer etc to lug about
d. no wife?!
e. no need to tow a trailer occasionally
f. no dog
would sell beloved Scoob and buy a GT3 - they looked gorgeous
PS - had to smile when one of the GT3 tried to drive over 8" drop inside pit garage OOPS

You cant compare a 60k car against a 20k car
Even if you could get your scoob / evo etc. to be as quick in all areas (which I doubt) then you still can't really compare them.
Top 911s are different class of car (and this is while they're still in standard form)
