Im confused - what are the parts needed to have my sti7 fully decated?

Can someone tell me which parts go where i.e. up pipe? down pipe? centre sections? I know where the backbox is tho.

Sorry for being so stupid - but i want my car to sound the dogs.

I think i will opt for the TSL Group N backbox - where would i get the other parts from - where do you lot recomend? I want quality stuff!!

If your happy with TSL

TSL will supply you with a FULL decat system

 

AFAIK

<up-pipe (cat)> -> <turbo> -> <downpipe (cat)> -> <link pipe (cat)> -> <centre section (resonator)> -> <backbox>

MY'01 onwards...

 

Do not mess about with a bit from here and a bit from there. Get a whole system that works. Fully de-cat with up-pipe down pipe and complete exhaust.
You could do worse than speak to Hayward and Scott at Basildon. 01268 727256 who until earlier this year supplied Scooby Sport with their exhausts but ceased supply because of payment difficulties.
H+S are manufacturers. No doubt TSL do complete systems too.

 

Wrblue, what ever u do mate let us know how it sounds im saving 2 get my sti7 a decent exhaust system i was thinking of blitz nurspec r, and im in the same boat not sure whats what and what will make it sound pukka, how many cats does the system? have whats legal? etc. Arent u bothered about ur warranty or has ur dealer said they'll over look it?

 

Thought there was an issue with boost spike when you de-cat a STI ? Might be worth checking with Pete C from Scoobysport?

i havent spoke to the dealer - if it ever goes there i will probably just put the old system back on (bit of messin about but it will save money in the long run).

Can anyone tell me about this boost spike - never heard of it so i think i had better learn if there will be any problems?

Any ideas of cost for a TSL decat?
