Hi i am 21 and gonna get my first scooby.I only have around £7k to spend and it cant be an import for insurance purpose.What should i go for?Make,Model,Year?

Go for a UK Turbo 2000, 1997 as this is when the models were facelifted, so better front bumper and bonnet and come with buckets seat interior. Should be able to find plenty in your price range, just sold my 97 for 6K.

ISTR that 1998 was when reasonable brakes arrived(?) Could be wrong though. I also seem to recall that bigger wings arrived in 1998 which I always though detracted from the Q car image.

anything i should watch out for?Ie cv joints are prone to wear?

hate to spoil your party mate but how much is your insurance at 21?????????????????????????????????tell me you have sorted this first???

i prob do around 140miles a week.Most motorway.How mucgh should i expect to pay for petrol a week?

My MY98 doesnt have 4 pots

Look out for a shagged speedo (unfixable apparantely)

40 quid. I've only had my scooby for 1 week. but i can tell you they do a lot more that 140 mile on £40 worth of petrol....
