There are several meets around here, including Bracknell which is a sizeable event I think. I did promise to organise a meet earlier on in the year but then didn't because I'm a bit of a slacker lol
Checking the listings I think you just missed the last Bracknell meet (d'oh) click here to see the thread
At some point I will get around to organising a meet - there is a regular here who runs a pub down in Stratfield Saye just south of M4 J11 who is trying to get a barbeque together - watch this space???

Currently a standard UK spec MY97 Green Impreza turbo. Had this one for quite a while now and seriously considering upgrading, when the right car comes along!
What are you running about in?

OK I'll try to make a note of this! I am pretty useless at remembering things though...
By the way, they're all 320bhp, didn't ya know
Off to look at an STi Type R tomorrow, insurance only £800, tempting, tempting....

Well f*** me the car was a total shed! Clearly been involved in a major front end smash at some point, the front grill/bumper/lights/bonnet didn't line up at all, and moved when poked, engine bay was a mess, passenger side door wouldn't open because the window caught on the trim - my guess is the chassis is as bent as a twelve pound note.
Wasted about two hours drive there and back Was there for all of... oooh about two minutes before leaving!
I really hope some poor sod doesn't put his life into hock to buy that, it wasn't worth any more than parts value In my humble opinion of course
Never mind plenty more where that came from... Now I know I can afford to insure it definitely on the lookout!

Sorry to hear that mate hope it doesn't turn out to be too expensive. I think it is a risk of these kind of engines that the bottom end seems easy to break - I had a bottom end go on a Lancia 2.0 16v turbo, and heard of failed bottom ends (usually big end bearing) on imprezas as well. More often than not they just go without any warning.
Did you buy it in a private sale or from a dealer? In theory a dealer must warranty the car for a minimum of three months, if you've only had the car for two months you may have an opportunity to claim the costs back from them.
