After many years of hard work I have finally taken the plunge into scooby ownership and bought a WR blue STI7 with 10k on the clock.
Eagerly counting the days until I pick it up on Saturday

coolio, a month now and no sign of stopping grinning....

Andy...

dont listen to them what knows best about the Scooby image, youve just signed into ownership of one of the best cars EVER for the money, the icon of the nineties. If you need further proof then go to this clicky and join the smiling gang.
yehaaaaa!!

when the front starts to understeer on corners don't bottle it and back off, keep the accelerator nailed and the diffs will do the rest.

Enjoy it.

had my STI7 15 odd months now and it still makes me grin like a chesire cat, (something a 420bhp audi never did). Sometimes when i get out i have to check its a normal sized 4 door car

It took some 12k miles for the engine to run in and give some kick.

I love it greatly, My dealers a gem as well.

oh a good tip is to drive on WOT with all the windows open, especially through tunnels, it sounds totally bloody fantastic (aprantly the twin scroll turbo cars sound terrible)

Enjoy it

Take time to learn how to drive the car. It's a fantastic car with clever diffs as mentioned above, but you want to learn for yourself what you can and cannot get away with. Try applying that rule in all situations and you will, without doubt, find pain

The car's limits are phoenomenally high, so find 'em safely and controlledly over a loooong period.

Sorry to sound like a granny or patronising, but it's a fantastic car that is quite different at the limit, so if you're going there make sure you know what it does

Cheers,
Nick.

Unfortunately it looks like the car won't be ready till Monday now
Don't mind though as I'm getting the dealer to refurb ALL wheels to make 'em spanking new, and also de-tango and fit nice new clear lenses - all free of charge. Oh, and I got 1k off the window price

That's cool! Once you drive it,you will know every penny you spent is well worth it!What were you driving before?I was driving Puogeot(is it right spelling!!)306 1.4 which was a blag to climb the hill and did 0-60 in 3 days!!And now, nothing slowing me down!( accept for the bl**dy speed trap, hidden cop with radar gun, which cost me 3 points and £60 in the first 6 months of owning the car!)So,I bought a snooper!Sorted!

I've had mine about 6 weeks now and I can't wait to open the garage door every morning to see my baby.
It took me a year to find the right one, but it was well worth the wait. She's a W reg classic in blue with an unusual cream leather interior and fully kitted with all the options that were available at new.

Just had group N discs and pads fitted by TSL of Nottingham, 1st of a few mods I want to do, I think their Firestorm box and de-cat system is on the cards.

Never had so many people look at a car I've owned before, find a big shop window and have a good pose! How sad!!

The drive to work and back has never been so quick or as much fun, it's amazing what you can get away with in a Scooby so long as the Plod leaves you alone.

Cheers

Simon

Cool

Had my Cat my 8 weeks now and love it to bits. It's great when you go to the car meets and see all the other scoobies there, makes you feel part of the gang! Always get other scooby drivers waving when we go past each other, it's great! When you're not in your car, walking around, you want everyone to know that you drive one of the best cars ever!!! I wish I had bought one years ago, but the wait was well worth it.

Overspent on my budget when I bought the car from the main dealer in Pangbourne and within 8 weeks I have bought new 17" alloys, a 4" Afterburner exhaust system,a snooper and just invested in a personalised number plate - *555***, the spending will never end. God knows where all this money comes from.............
Thinking of getting the bonnet resprayed next to match the rest of the immaculate bodywork, as it appears to have more chips on it than Harry Ramsden.

CAT17 - going out for a spin now, the sun's just going down and the car looks fantastic in this light.

Si, not been to any meets, would be great, let me know times/places and i'll see if I can do.

Just started using this site, it's great to see so many other enthusiasts not too far away. Know of anyone around Melton Mowbray?
See plenty of scoobs about the town, particularly the blue STi 7 with the loadest exhaust in scoobydom and Lexus style rear lights.

Any gatherings between Leicester and Nottingham would be good to hear about.

Yes I picked the beast up yesterday, and wow what a car
Only done 40 miles in her so far but I already can see what you've all been raving about!
I've moved from a E36 beemer, and I know which one I would call 'The Ultimate Driving Machine'
Fanatastic, can't wait to get in her again...(the scoob not the missus )
