Thought i was running on fumes, the gauge read 1mm above the bottom line.

I still only managed to get 49 litres in it!

If it's an earlier model then you'd have a 50 litre tank.

That would have been close!

Yes a low fuel light on MY00

Not sure how much is actually left in , but I have driven about 20 miles with the light on (motorway 80mph) and got 55 litres in and that includes filling the pipe up too

Bug-eye is the same as the later Classics, the fuel warning light comes on with around 10 litres left in the tank.

Yup - MY02 wagon with low fuel light stuck on until I popped into Adams at Aylesbury on Tues night on my way home to Yorkshire..... Managed to get 41 quid of SUL in.

And did anyone see that black Evo 8 FQ on Adams forecourt? Looked AWESOME!!!

I've run my classic to the bottom of the E before and still only managed to get 58 litres into the 60 litre tank.

galv,
MY99 indeed has a fuel light. Fuel light positively glares at you - could do with its own bright switch really, you can't just ignore it. Came on last night with the needle at the bottom of the E line and I got 52 litres in the tank a couple of kms later.
