£2500 is a silly price. I paid about £1700 all-in a couple of years ago.
I went for it to preserve the warranty - but frankly I wouldn't recommend fitting it to a MY99 now. It would be a waste of money.
Instead I'd suggest simply replacing the exhaust and heading down to Ecutek for a remap. You'll get the same (or greater) benefit for a lot less.
I think that some dealers can now fit it, although that wasn't always the case - I took my car to Prodrive in Warwick to have it fitted. It took about 1/2 a day.

The most you should pay is £1600 now. Even that's overpriced IMHO, so I would haggle like hell with your Dealer if you decide it's really what you want.
If you MUST keep your warranty, then it's your only option. You can achieve better results from a EcuTek std map and a decat.
To be honest, you could install the PPP yourself in a couple of hours with some std car ramps so any Dealer worth his salt would find it a piece of pi$$. Afterall, it's just a ECU swap (5mins), some IC piping (45mins), centre section and backbox (1hr). That's the time it's taken me to do these on my MY99 car, so given the right tools and experience (I'm a Muppet Mechanic) the zorts would take 15mins on a proper set of ramps.

No re-set of the fobs is required - urban myth for the PPP pre MY01.

I' getting info from dealers that this is not a dealer fitment- that the car has to go away to Pro-Drive to have it done, is this the case...
