Hell man - it'd be 'sacrilege' to even 'consider' playing music, when you've just 'picked-up' your 'new car'...

Listen to the 'exhaust'

I alternated between car noise (too quiet!) and own CD made up as follows:

1) Nerd - Lapdance
2) The Vines - Get Free
3) Rammstein - Feuer Frei
4) Flaw - Get Up Again
5) Curve - Hell Above Water
6) A - Nothing
7) Drowning Pool - Bodies
8) Queens Of The Stone Age - Millionaire
9) Gavin Rossdale - Adrenaline
10) Limp Bizkit - N 2 Together Now
11) Limp Bizkit - Rollin
12) Aimee Allen - Revolution
13) Jan Hammer - Chase
14) Depeche Mode - Dream On
15) Crystal Method - Replacement Killers
16) Curve - Chinese Burn
17) Orbital - Technologicque Park

Either way, enjoy your new purchase!

Greggers, your probably right, especially considering I've got the WR Sport back box fitted, keep it coming folks some good choices so far. Limpbizkit is a close third pity the misses doesn't like them though.

Some great choices there, Silverback. I'm particularly partial to a bit of Rammstein ("Heirate Mich" is a preferred hi-fi demo'ing track - hi-fi being one of my other vices).

Current track of choice, which must add at least 20-30bhp, is Paul Gilbert's "Bliss".

Just a shame the standard sound system is so ropey!

Love to say that I have upgraded, but no...standard system I'm afraid.

While I know a little bit about home audio (cinema systems) and have spent considerable money, I'm a bit of a luddite when it comes to car audio.

Cool

chiark - only added that track 'cos it was fresh in the mind having watched an episode of fastlane that used it for a 'steamy' encounter (sad I know)

dave-battle - just dl'd the Paul Gilbert track. Glad I didn't have that one on the CD when I picked the car up - the running in period would have been destroyed and I would have probably ended up stacking the Scoob into a hedge somewhere (it's even making me type like a maniac!)

Motorhead- Ace of Spades (works best accompanied by screaming tyre noise and high lateral G's)

or the sound of a boxer engine screaming for mercy!

not being funny - i wouldnt take a cd!!!

1. I want to hear the great sound of the engine.

2. Listening to a cd on the standard fit system is like listening to it with cotton wool in your ears and a pair of tights on your head....

I am currently working on fitting new speakers and head unit!

The Village People!!!!!!!!! I know the standard sound system is poor, don't worry it will be changed, already got a Sony blackface CD player just need to sort some speakers out, oh and some dynamat, don't want to go too mad but I've got three Cerwin Vega stealth subs (12ohm ones) in the back of the garage, trying my best not to fit them.

Well I pick my new STI8 up in the next day or two and for me it will be the growl from the performance exhaust but every now and then a blast of the single, She sells sanctuary by the cult ........... and a bit of the man Eminem as well.

Nothing sounds any good on the standard kit, it's all just a buzzing in your left ear - silverback must have upgraded.

Drop the window and enjoy the natural sounds.
