Just need to moan ….. sorry ……

I brought my scoob a couple of years ago.

I brought the car because of their reputation and the fact a work mates had had 2 scoobs and was soon to be on his third!

When I brought the car I found more out about:-

The camaraderie amongst owners
Wavers
Friendly dealers
Specialist firms (small and large, some with proper premises and some without )
Scoobynet
SIDC

And it was all fun and light hearted and made ownership fun !

But recently it has got a lot worse, some other owners don’t care about owt else but themselves, waving’s gone downhill (the missus ain’t complaining about that one ), even worse is the way some firms and individuals are bitching and moaning about each other, Scoobynet is turning into a fight zone and whinge and moan on a lot of threads and the SIDC events are out my price range

What the hell happened! I might need to go out and buy a BMW

 

Change of owner profile is to blame I think. Pistonheads is coming up to what scoobynet used to be but caters for a wider range of cars. Far less angry people on there

 

u may have a point but i still find no end of friendly scooby owners mayeb i just attract 'em lol. Anyway i suppose there has also been a few unecessary sniping going on as well & while 2 the majority this isn't an attractive trait i still think on the whole it is a minority & shouldn't be overstated Christ i went on sum other boards recently & again maybe it's the unfamiliarity with the way they work but there was a bizarre amount of shyte going about which made me so much happier 2 return home 2 scoobynet, not that i ever left lol
All in all sure u will encounter muppets actually best call them prats dont want the muppet collective getting offended in all walks of life & it just seems too easy to blame it on the scoobs being more available to xy&z which may indeed attract sum types not familiar with our strict codes on dress (must have subaru or 555 on it ) & behaviour but hey i will let them live since if nothing else they have good taste in cars

Over there are a good set of friendly scooby owners and I agree it is all about diversty (sic) in owners, but with some of the recent threads and sniping, some people need to chill

 

I did just that - now I have one of each

 

Good move cheeseboy, Scooby owners can mock your BMW and BMW owners can mock your Scooby.

 

But do you ever wave to scoob drivers when in the BMW .... that would confuse em !

I believe you should be pround of owning a scoob, and be happy with what you got

If people wave then wave back if they dont tough titty to them

Just enjoy your scooby

if people want to argue and shout at people on here then let them do so, maybe we should ask the mods for a moaning forum for anyone who wants to moan.............

No offence to anyone, but a ***** is still a ***** regerdless of his car. Scoobs, along with any other make of car have their share of ***** drivers.
In my experience most of you lot are sound and i'm looking forward to meeting you at the NBO, but for each one of you that IMO ain't a sound bloke, i'm not gonna lose sleep and sell my car. At the end of the day it's a tin can on wheels.
