I have an my97 with decat etc and would like to know my options regards ECU, do I have to spend 1400 quid on a gems or motech or is there an alternative route ie. ecutek please advise people..

Power Engineering do the 'Phase 1' conversion, which involves soldering a add-in board to the standard ECU, to enable it to be mapped. Not cheap though, but cheaper than an ECU replacement.
