Sing along - The kids on the bus go "Holy sh....."

Whilst enjoying my usual trip to work - a loverly little 'B'road going to Hereford 
T5NWY - you'll know the one!!!
Enjoying some rather interesting speeds I came across (and yes, it was messy!) a bus [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img] in front of me do about 35mph 
[picture Mr Bean's face of annoyance] this was me.
Well I followed him for about 5 mile - it took a long time, when I thought "s0d this - I can get past on this next tiny straight"
So dropped it down into 2nd...and waited......
When it was safe to do so, I floored it!
The Scoobysport system "roared" into life and I shot past the bus at a fair rate of knots.
"Ahh, back to my normal driving"
The roads are just like a special stage loadsa twisties too
Got to work. To break up the hectic lifestyle that I normally lead (music business), I do some work as a lecturer in Professional Sound at my local college.
Parked up. Got out, went into my office and put the kettle on.
Then one of my students came in rather excited (well moreso than usual - I could tell this because he'd turn off the "breathe in, breathe out" tape, and his knuckles weren't a scraped and grazed as they normally are)
"Sir, (that's me BTW) did you overtake a bus this morning?"
"Oh, yeh. Yes, I did. It was going rather slow"
"Well, you caused a bit of a riot"
"Really, how's that then?"
"Well, we were all sat there, having a chat when we heard a meaty sound in the background, followed by it getting much louder, then flying past"
"Ahh."
"We all got up and leant to the side of the bus "oo-ing and aah-ing" and saw a blue Subaru flying past"
"Ahh. Yes. That was me"
"That was SO cool! The bus driver nearly **** himself! Can you do it again?!"
Hmm. There's me complaining about the Max-Powered Nova brigade driving a full chat past the room whilst I'm lecturing, and here I am, doing the same laddish thing!!
Still it was rather funny, and I was touched - it's the 1st time any of my students have taken the least bit of notice of me!!!

My Electronics lecturer at York University (cleverest bloke I've ever met in life) had huge respect becuase he used to tell us his stories about his "Subaru Impreza Turbo."
Had a chat to him once about it and he told me about testing a P1. Nice bloke; doing things occasionally which show students that you, the lecturer are 'normal' is a very good idea.
