New MY03 WRX with Lloyds TSB .....
Have just looked on the LloydsTSB website and they offer the new MY03 WRX on the road for £18,805.07. Has anyone had experience of buying a new car using them?
The only thing to qualify for this offer is to be an account holder, and car is definately the same UK spec, no imports or anything.
Comments much appreciated as I cant decide which route to take to buy me new scooby. Most dealers are reluntact to discount even with cash and no part ex!

I'm not disputing the price, but couldn't find any mention of MY03.
Could they be the last of the bug eyes?

on the subject of dealers matching the Lloyds price, has anyone done this with an STI8.
Failing that has anyone got any reasonable discount off a dealer for cash(ie no part exchange). I'm only looking for broad figures here not exact discounts as each dealer will be different and people may take out finance to get their car etc, which may effect the discount given
If you don't want to name the dealer then thats fine but I just want an idea of "what the score is" with regards to discounts.
Someone was telling me that rather than give a discount off the car it might be better to try and get the PPP etc at cost - ie get extras put on car for free/cost as the dealers are kenner to do this.
Comments appreciated

So looking at these prices, it's still far cheaper to buy a Benelux import - a WRX seems to be coming in at around £17.5k including alarm. Can then have a weekend in Holland sampling the local delights when you need the PPP fitted.....
Am I missing something (apart from the £2k saving)?

Lloyds have the price at £18805 and dealer1 will match that. Dealer2 said they could dealer1 by £500(admittedly the £500 difference was assuming PPP, coloured skirts etc). hence we can deduce 2nd dealer does car for 18305.
If a euro-import car (UK spec admittedly) is £17500 then to me the difference in price is not enough(when you could save £4000+ then I could understand getting an import).

Can you do the WRX without the ad-on's for £18,305, as Hel suggests? If so, and you can deliver in 3 weeks time, please let me know and I'll buy one from you (if you have blue, of course). Like most people, I'd prefer to support UK dealers but I also have to put my pocket first.....
