Seriously though co55ie, why not bring your motor to Santa Pod tomorrow? Should be a good turn out of scoobs, cosworths and all sorts. Road racing provides the other guy with an excuse, nobody will believe the tales, beat someone down the drag strip and it is fair, square and undisputable.

far easier to mod a cossie to big bhp so why shouldn't it be faster? don't most scoobies melt piston after 300bhp?

Only if you have gone to heath and robinson school of sticking loads of bits on and turning the boost up. Took years before cossies stopping blowing engines due to bad tuning, they still do gearboxes and diffs on a regular basis so I have heard, unless you buy uprated stuff and know what you are doing, or know a man /woman who know what they are doing. Most big bhp reliable cossies are tuned by a small amount of people/companies in this country. There is always a weakness somewhere and tuning them will find it eventually.

I would love to have some fun down at santa pod am having lots of problems with clutches at the moment they only seem to last 1500 miles and thats driving like a girl.

whats the big deal cossie.i own a uk300 and raced a sierra cossie and it beat me,only just,but so what?? good on him.i spoke to the guy and he said he was pushing 300 bhp so hes bound to beat me.but i hold no grudges,i like all sorts of cars. i love my car no matter how fast it is,and i can see u love urs. im sure many scooby drivers feel the same,if they dont,im sure thay will change brands,but i think not.so get a life,and stop bragging.

I wil be getting whopped in March as my RS Slowcus is due to arrive. I am having mixed emotions toward the car as its a hairdryer as standard and not looking forward to all the attention and hassle I am going to get from you scoobsters.
I intend to put a My other car is a cosworth sticker in it so if you leave me for dust i wont feel to much of a tit no more than usual anyway

Still looking forward to racing a FRS at Santa this year in my humble scoob .

 

i would definitely be up for some fun at santa pod as soon as the slowcus arrives as i wont be dependant on the old shed as a means of transport
