AP Organic is the one most go for

My AP organic is not the smoothest of clutches - but much better than the 4 paddle

I have got the Helix and it is very good, smooth bite and not heavy. Also comes with a release bearing, the AP doesn't.

You might wanna try Mark at Lateral Performance as well...

...he has an excellent clutch, very high clamping pressure, really easy to use. Even the paddle version (there are two versions) is smoother than my AP.

Well, if your that lazy, buy the clutch kit from Mark, then go along to someone like Dave West at Risborough 4 Wheel Drive and you'll get the whole lot done for less than 700 quid all in!

I did...and belevie me the clutch is no longer the weakest link on my car...

Here the authorised Subaru service uses Daikin medium type clutch(there are three types from soft to hard) as a cheap replacement option to the expensive OEM part and they told me that is much better than the Helix,AP organic,OEM etc, has anybody heard about this? ...don't mix it with the Daikin air-con though...

Unhappy

Tell me about the Gearbox being the weakest link

My car is off the road at the moment with a broken G'box...but not the gears, the selector rod on 3rd/4th sheared...even the fork survived

So the only bits not replaced in an uprated gear and fork set broke...bugger...

Editted to point out I am pushing the envelope with stock UK internals...and it's done 85k miles...plus I'm a little bit brutal when it comes to changing gear
