Question

Guys,
we've all seen that the 2003 model has had a bit of a facelift. (Personally I don't think it makes a massive difference).

Anyhow, does anyone know if there are going to be any technical revisions to the 2002 model?

PS up to 225
Better quality interior trim
Rev counter moves to centre of dash

All that I can think of, off top of head.

cheers Matt.

Now, do I go for a UK 2002 with discount, or wait and order a MY2003 from Belgium. Decision, decisions.....

Thumbs up

I'm gonna check out the MY03 at the NEC on Friday but will probably wait rather than going for the discounted current model.

When it comes down to it I think the pleasure is in the driving of a Scooby not what it looks like or whether the interior is better than a Focus RS (or whatever).

I think the improvements are small (interior and exterior), I'm in no rush to get hold of one (waited until I'm 30 anyway so a couple more months won't make much difference).

Personally, a big factor will be what the new seats are like - I belive they are supposed to be a little different (and my dodgy bad back amy benefit from the changes).

ah well, I sold my MY99 in February, and have now had enough and want another.

If the differences are very minor I'm tempted to go for the discount on a UK car.

Hi,
I have a friend in Subaru Israel, and according to info he got from Japan, the WRX had all its shock absorbers replace (now firmer), it gains a front LSD (a shortrack like the STI's), different gearbox (still 5-speed), and different steering system (don't know the details)
Should be some beast!!

sounds like it's all good.

However will that apply to UK models.

Time to head off to the Subaru Japan web site and see what I can find....

I'm impressed with the pedestrian friendly wipers! A real plus point!

Be interested if it has a front LSD as per Subaru Israel - no idea what it would do for me but it sounds good

well you see an unfriendly wiper will have your eye out.

Pedestrian friendly one's are corked at the end for safety :-)

Have a look in Scoobyshop - there is a full specification of a Type UK /European STI MY03 - might help.
