Question

Right i'm now looking at putting the GB bort wax wizard goodies 2 use this weekend although, call me a *****, i'm a little cautious about spraying ***** nilly all over the mechanical bits
In Marks instructions he says 2 avoid spraying the intercooler & alarm housing. Now i no where the intercooler is (aint i gr8) but no sweet FA beyond that so is the alarm housing in a standard location or not?
Pix of my unmodded yet VERY dirty, although pix flatter it sumwot, engine bay so any advice on which bits 2 avoid soaking etc & any other tips wood b gr8fully received:

Ta in advance
Si

Si,

On a MY99/00, the alarm is usually mounted here:-

The actual electronics are inside the car, it's just the siren/battery backup that's inside the engine bay.

The Sigma M30 alarm siren is just a square black box that looks like a speaker.

Edited to add a pic of my (dirty) engine bay

Stefan

Wink

Mmmmmm

I think you might need some pressure behind it (100BAR or so)
Might work though....

I could not find the 'speaker' on my STi7 (Type UK). When I set the alarm off and tried to trace it down by ear it seemed to be coming from somewhere under the windscreen wipers

Still...went ahead and all went well. Jetwashed the bugger everywhere LOL

Bl**dy H*ll
You're thinking of cleaning that. Thats spotless to me. I'll not say my engine is dirty but I did'nt know you got different coloured leads in there.
Means when it goes in for a service I can see exactly what they've changed!!
