Question

I aint talking about a fill of me bottle either. My local place charges £50 to do it. £50!!!!!:eek It has to be cheaper somewhere else. Does anyone know where I can buy a huge cylinder of the stuff that I can keep in my garage so I can top it up when I want? I have tried the local dentist, but he told me to **** off for some reason.
Can anyone help?
astraboy.

Cool

You will struggle to get it supplied from BOC, infact it may be impossible mate. My mate has made enquiries before....and he even had an account with them, and they still said they couldn't!!!

Question

Well I have sent off the submission form anyway, so I will wait and see. Does anyone know any drag racing nutters which have a supplier willing to give me a break?

Just found this.

Q3) From where can I buy nitrous oxide refills?

A3) We or our agents (in some areas) can supply your nitrous oxide needs, but you may want to rent a large refill cylinder from your local branch of LYNDE gas, who can be found by contacting the Head office 0121 500 1000. If you have any problems with LYNDE gas you might try your local branch of Air Products or B.O.C. but don't tell them it is for automotive use, as in some areas they seem to think anyone who is crazy enough to use it on a vehicle is unsafe to sell it to. If you get a supply this way we can supply you a refill pipe/adapter cheaper than anyone else. Your final option is a local tuning shop who may stock gas.

Cheers Jack, But I have just told BOC it is for automotive use DOH! If they get back to me I will tell them its for the drag strip strip only. *coff coff*
astraboy.
BTW if its not for automotive use, can anyone suggest a legitmate reason why I would want so much of it?
I can hardly come out with:
"Yeh mate, I'm a kidnapper... if the victim starts gettin a bit tasty we slap a mask on him and feed him the Nitrous till he shuts up." That'll go down well.

You could theoretically use NO2 in certain diving applications, I seem to recall. Or you could say its for your soda stream machine so you can kick start the guests at your parties/bbqs...

Cheers Ron, But I'm looking for Nitrous, not Liquid oxygen or solid rocket boosters. Having said that, The thought of being the first astraboy in space does have its good points.
