Hi recently bought a 2003 wrx subaru with 81k on the clock bought it with a battered clutch so got it abit cheaper replaced the clutch with a stage 1 racing version after about 1200 miles i noticed i had a patch under my car and to make things worse i noticed first and second was real stiff to change when i put my foot down abit took it to my mechanic and the bottom of the gearbox was pissing fluid he said maybe the seal was knackered and needed changing so he took the gearbox out and he said he couldnt change the seal i need a gearbox specialist who would do the job as he wouldnt want to change it the other thing is he noticed like tiny slithers of metal in the gearbox case and basically i want to know how much im looking at to get it fixed the gearbox is already out of the car i just need someone to fix it does anyone know roughly how much ill end up paying to get this done? all i need is the gearbox repaired or whatever needs doing i can get the gearbox put back in myself any help would be greatly appreciated thanks
