Further to my earlier post, are there any 2008 WRX STI that haven't had problems with the Pistons?

I've got a 2009. No issues at all in 30000 miles. There arn't that many out there so replies will be small in volume anyway. I'm selling mine if anybody is interested! I've had it since new and fancy a change. Vince

Looks like I've managed to find one that has been forged by ap Impreza, also has updated turbo, clutch, currently sitting at 350bhp. Should there be any reliability issues with this being a daily driver? It has 4 previous owners and 70k on clock, engine work done last year.

There are a few about with high miles, one sold near to me recently. It was 120-140k miles as I recall. There are issues but not all of them have problems. So either buy a standard one and factor in the cost of a rebuild or buy one with a fresh forged engine. I did the later (330S) and I am not disappointed.

That's great.

I'd ring AP Impreza and go over what they did on the car so you know what was paid for etc

Also check on here if it's a car a member has owned

I've spoken to AP and they have confirmed the work they did to it, all run in etc.......

Just wished I'd not took a test drive in a Evo 8 today as it's just confused me, was expecting not to like it but I did.
