Power Figures.......No BS ones either....
Very Impressive. Saw the car on Sunday with the bonnet parked at the side. Surely the car can't weigh more than about 850Kg, and with that much power, it will make for a very entertaining ride
Actual Power Figures from the Best Rolling Road in the UK (Personal Thought only). AVA in Glasgow
285 @ wheels in low boost, 18psi (was 12 untill the fire)
made 320 in full boost 35 psi (was 28 until the fire)
Re-wiring has fixed my boost problems
the 320 figure would have been more but the Charge air Temp was getting to high causing the ignition to be retarded by 12 degrees. about 20bhp give or take a little
So should be 340-350 at the wheels on a good Day.
I am well pleased with that.

What figures did Mike get? It would be interesting to see if the rolling road gave the same figures as the engine dyno.

PS Do you know that you have a huuuge great dustbin sticking out the back of your car?

These figures are at the wheels.
I made 405 on the Dyno but a Dyno is perfect conditions. You must loose some by fitting it into the car, and i loose about 15% through the transmission.
Which aint bad. It will be nice to get some scoob's on there to see what BHP they have at the wheels.

I'm sure Mike will post his figures.....

I would imagine they would loose more than the 20bhp as the coolers on scoob's are in the worst place in the world for a cooler.
Especially as the bonnet needs to be open to listen to det, and no scoop....
Best get some front mounts ordered from CraigH me thinks....

Craig, unfortunately it isnt my Skyline.
It has never been on a rolling road because it needs to go on a 2wd one to work propperly and that means disconecting the front drive which Middlehurst can do.
When it go`s up there next I think it will be put on a set.
Look at it this way it out drags my P1 which is a fairly quick one.
Power to weight and bull5hit figures aside.
It IS very quick and yes I have been in some pretty quick cars in my time.

Arron,
I've been in some quick cars too.
Dingys car has a power to weight ratio (at the wheels) of around 360hp.
The Skyline has a power to weight ratio (at the FLYWHEEL) of around 240hp.
Doesn't take a genius to work it out.

Skyline needs to go on a 2WD rolling road? I'm thick, so could you explain that one - is it because the RWD bias of the Skyline confuses things? Genuine question, this...
Anyhow, you've seen Dingy on a track, and Mike R. What's your problem about someone having a more powerful car than a skyline? I doubt anyone could deny they're powerful, and to me they're more of a driver's car than the skyline is. (Still, I know which one I'd take - but that's not the point here)

Unfortunately all you to55sers dont seem to understand that this is NOT a standard Skyline.
It only runs (on standard turbo`s) about 1.1bar. Hang on thats a REAL 400 ish at 1.1 bar
It has diferent cams and exhaust and induction mods and AFR`s.
It runs all the right intercoolers and ****.
It IS very fast and I`m sorry but bhp power figures mean jack **** to me.
To get a car, any car, around a track quickly it needs to have more than BHP.
It also has to go round bends pretty good and I think we all know which car will go round bends now dont we
4 door sallon will always be a 4 door saloon.
AGAIN I SAY GROUP N RACE CAR WILL ALWAYS BE A GROUP N RACER
Carry on with your power figures.
I have been in and driven a GENUINE Brodie RS 500 with variable boost control and basically a Touring Car specification with BIG tyres and it was still almost un-driveable. The conversion to the engine and adjustable suspension tec was £12K and thats 10 years ago
The car did 60000 miles without a rebuild and could run upto an astonishing 32 lbs boost pressure.......****
I reckon it had about 500 REAL horespower.
The RS 500 was the best handling FORD SIERRA ever made and that is final.
I have no doubt that Dingy`s car and Mike`s car are very fast but we are looking at a complete package that can handle a lot more power with ease.
The R34 Skyline will happily run a GENUINE 650 horse with all but a clutch upgrade.............will your Ford?????
When the mighty Skyline has all the planned modifications it WILL BE A GENUINE 550 BHP.
A USEABLE 550 BHP.
I REST MY CASE
PS IF you have any questions that your not sure about Andy Middlehurst will answer them for you...........he`s at St.Helens........give him a call.
I`m sure if a Mk2 Escort or a Saff could do it for him he`d much rather have one

OK Arron,
It may have a real 400 hp. But it is also REAL heavy.
I don't know what hogwash has been brainwashed into you about Skylines, but they are not REAL racecars for the road.
They are lardy coupes.
A skyline would need approximately 750 REAL hp to match Dingys p/w.
A Skyline only needs a clutch upgrade for a real 650hp?
Don't tell me - you think Superman is real to?
Wake up and smell the roses Arron - Dingys car, Mikes car and Jay Bs car will absolutely slaughter that Skyline.
Your case has more holes in it than my boxer shorts.
