Anyone who doubts Mike R's car is a ****. I went out in it when it had just 420BHP, and it is the fastest car I have been in, and I have been in loads that have claimed big power figures, like a 200BHP+ mini!!, 500BHP Supra.....

Now its got over 500BHP, I aint been out, something to do with wet roads but I sure its a little faster.

Cem, good point, and Im sure 99% of people agree with you, but then if it sat a scoob or a £20K BMW on either side, Im sure much more than 50% would go for the BMW (the muppets)

Chill people, your car is a car, you choose to run what you want and to some extent afford to spend. Some people make a fashion statement outof their car, othrs enjoy it for what it is, some would never run a car over about 1 year old, its all personal choice.

If I had the choice between taking the 1 set of keys, I'd take the Skylines, of course.

Then I'd sell it and buy a car like dingys, a Scoob and a Caterham. Hmmm. What would you prefer?

And Steve, with all due respect, you obviously don't have a clue about Dingys/MikeRs cars.

If you want to look at pure specualtation figures, look at the claimed 700hp Skylines.

Believe one was tested (was it the Middlehurst one?) and it only managed 172mph. Not that impressive really for a 420hp increase.

420hp total maybe. On a good day.

You are gonna be SOOOOOOOO humbled

As you're half way, why not pop it along to the RR day. Theres another Skyline going apparently - 650hp. Will be very interesting to see what your's don't produce

Cem,
It wouldn't matter what the car was on the "other side". If I had both sets of keys, I would initially drive the one that I hadn't driven before - even if it was a Saxo or some such mundane vehicle (as long as it was a little bit sporty or different). This is because I love driving, however, once the initial novelty wore off (i.e lack of challenge / thrill), I would (as I always have) revert back to the Cossie.

This is because once you have experienced 400bhp per tonne - there's NO turning back, and everything else is just too tame / boring by comparison... I am fortunate that I get to drive lots of nice cars so this is not a blinkered view, but for the ultimate buzz the Cossie has yet to be beaten. JF's Westie or an equivalent is tempting though - I can hear the voices calling me...

As I said, those that are doubting the performance / involvement need to be strapped in as passengers for a wake up call.

Steve,
Mmmmm 420bhp and 1600+Kg -V- 515.4bhp and 1275Kg (Wet weight, but without driver) - difficult choice (NOT ).... As to the power outputs, yes I am a doubting Thomas, as the Jap engines are so inherently week and require thousands spent on internal upgrades to be able to withstand the boost pressures that a Cossie would yawn at... Do you still have the standard ceramic turbos or have they been replaced with steel ones? Would be seriously interested in knowing what they do to achieve 140bhp over the standard car.
Best regards
Mike R

Is your car paid for?
Or are you one of these boys that talks to daddy`s bank account
You seem to be getting very stressed out about this.
We are talking cars and power and you go and get all "personal"
We can all see what a CHILD you are (Bed by 10.30).
Why don`t you post your power graph on here for us to see or aint ya got one
Sounds to me like you parted with some of daddy`s wedge for a 400 bhp conversion and got DONE just like your japanese junk gets done on the track by Ford escorts and Sierra`s. LOL
Night Night
Uncle Biff
P.S. On a serious note....When I was at Donno I was standing next to a group of people who were saying "look a Skyline" I think they were expecting you car to be fast.
But you were the slowest on the day and after you had done a couple of laps they were laughing.

im kinda confused what were arguing about here.

Infact very confused...

are we not talking proven power versus claimed power? two very very very different things?

mikes 400 at the wheels and dingys 320 at the wheels are very powerful cars.

So and so's claimed 600 bhp or 420 bhp or whatever... have yet to prove anything.

Thus the debate ends until they DO prove something.

Whats wrong m8 didn't have the ***** to get out on the track yourself or havn't you passed your test yet.
Incidentally how come only my slatin is treated as personal. Some of the crap u were throwing yesterday would have had lesser people spittin their dummy
Speak to Dingy he seems on the level i.e throw ****, take it back and then see if you can rip em apart even more with your reply. m8 nothin you can say will wind me up cos at the end of the day I know what I got on the drive and in the garage and that makes me happpyyyyyyy

I think we know where this is going.

My apologies to dingy, as the subject of this thread was (as you said) not "my car is faster than yours", it was "look at the power my car is puttin out".

And in fairness, nobody here can argue with the level of achievement that kind of power is.

I'm gonna give the thread one more chance before it's sent to the muppet show! LOL

All the best

Biff,

Don't be a ****

Steve don't be a **** Nothing winds you up? So you won't mind when I ask why you've got a lardy 4ssed, uninvolving, over estimated and underpowered pile of ugly Jap poo

Mike, you sure they're the only voices you hear? Thought most of the little voices were Nik Kershaw, Simon De Bon, Morten Harkett etc

Question

Nope, I'm gonna have the last word:

One side of the street you got a MK 2 Escort.

Other side of the street you have a R34 Skyline GTR

You have the keys to both cars and you get to choose ONE to take home with you. Which would it be?

You guys have probably spent more money on your cars than I have on mine, so money is no object here. Just 2 cars, one set of keys. Which?

Harj,
No. I don't owe your dad £4.44, as the **** you sell that he gets are the duty free ones from gambia, or are they the ones your cousin sends over from the slums of Deli!!!????

Who's the new paperperson then, is it the missus or are you slaving out your son for some extra money!!!! I've heard they normally bust up the legs and chop off the arms of the kids, so they can get more money when they send them out begging in Hillfields!!!!!!

LOL

To anyone else I have forgotten in my haste..........knobbers the lot of ya

PS just making sure that Simon is not dissapointed with the general direction of this completely worthwhile thread lest you all save it from muppetdom with your humility
On a serious and final note MIKE do the japs use an inferior grade of raw materials resulting in the weak internals or did u make that one up
If so just wondered how long a GSXR1000 would last given that with no blower it manages to put out 160 BHP from just 1000cc...hhhhmmmmm it would be lucky to drive it outta de showroom! power to weight Ratio around 900 BHP per tonne Japanese know a thing or too about engines methinks.
