Well my Lamco boost gauge and RallyTech cooling panel have arrived in work, so that means a diversion tomorrow to pick them up so that I can get them fitted.

Well today has been a very productive day, we got a good deal of jobs completed.
We managed to get the following work done:
Swop out the decat downpipe for a standard downpipe.
Swop out the rear P1 silencer for a standard newage STi silencer.
Change the spark plugs.
Remove the TMIC, change the Y pipe and fit new Samco red hoses.
Swop out the suspension springs for Tein lowering springs.
Swop out the headlamp bulbs for Osram Nightbreaker Unlimited bulbs along with fitting LED side light bulbs.
Fit RallyTech radiator deflector panel.
I did have a bit of a wasted job when it came to fitting the RCM fuel pump as it wouldn't fit the fuel suction unit, the standard pump is massive in comparison to the RCM pump and the connections at the pump are all different as well.
So I had to refit the standard pump, but having said that it isn't noisy but I'll probably swop it out later - although that's not a job I'm looking forward to as it's a right pig of a job to remove the unit due to its increased internal size.

As you can see the standard pump dwarves the RCM pump.

You'll see her tomorrow Brian, plus I've got that Subaru radio blanking panel for you as well.
Thanks Daz, she's nearly there and I'm looking forward to finally getting a chance to drive her properly.

The rest of the interior just needs a good vacuum clean.

Ever since I first drove the car I have noticed that the gear stick wants to pull over to the left hand side, it has been baffling me as everything looked fine with no play in the selector fork bushes so Ryan and myself were scratching our collective heads.

That was until today when it became evident that the front selector linkage fork (26) has had the spring (20) connected to it, the spring should be connected to the opposite linkage plate (30).
Unfortunately this will mean dropping the gearbox out of the way as the linkage is above it and the access is not great.
Whilst the linkage is stripped down I will get some of the uprated linkage bushes from AS Performance fitted as everything will be easily accessible.

Oh well at least we know what the problem is now.

Well apart from finding out what was causing the gear linkage fault it was also time to collect the car and get it home.
The RallyTech mud flap set was fitted which proved to be more of a task than originally thought as the flaps are designed for 'normal' classic models they required some modification to enable them to fit.
Ryan did a stirling job of fitting them and they look great on the car, they were set into the higher mounting holes as there is a danger of them being pulled under my car as I reverse off my drive which is on a downhill incline.
I then gave the interior a good clean and wipe down, it was then onto the exterior cleaning.
So I gave the car a hand wash and then brought it inside the workshop and then polished and then waxed the car, it must be said I am not the world's greatest car cleaning person but I am pleased with the outcome of my hard work.

So now it is time to enjoy the car, I need to get the geometry alignment carried out next week as it's all over the place and really doesn't give a good impression of the car.

Better to find these things now and get them resolved than having them pìss you off not knowing what it is
and knowing you, your a bit of a perfectionist with things, no doubt that would have been eating away at you

Unfortunately not Kev, it powers up gives all your details and then gives a goodbye message, you can press one of the buttons and it will go through the same process again but it never goes any further than that.
Thanks for the loan though as at least know I now that my only option is to go for Lamco or Defi gauges.
Thanks it does look shiny, in fact I surprised myself with how well it came up with some elbow grease.
As said last night, she looks an absolute peach in the flesh, fair play.
I hadnt realised quite how much detail had gone into these cars, "very aesthetically pleasing to the eye" as my olde woodwork teacher used to say!!
Proper headturner, and definately a keeper i think Ty, and thanks for the Camber bolts, they shall be going on my KYB AGX's very very soon!

Looks good mate! Those flaps are a pain to fit, as like you say they are designed for 'normal' classics. I ended up taking all the wheels off to get mine on!
Richy got a richbrook tax disc made up for mine with the limited edition number on, along the same idea as the WR1, looks abit nicer than the plastic ones, I'll stop giving you ideas now. :-)

Great Ty I'm looking forward to seeing this at PCAD.
I know your not a big cleaner but let's be fair you don't have to detail the hell out of the car, I know that from experience, I know you will look after this and probably clean this better than any in the past because it a "B"
I'm also taking a more liberal approach with the RA and will not be detailing the hell out of it, I'm going to take more relaxed approach as I simply can't do it anymore

The tax disc holder I actually got from Japan, it has the Prodrive, Subaru & STi logos on it and it's pretty funky so I think I will keep that one in place (for the moment).

Once I get the summer out of the way and after the planned restoration has taken place then I will get it detailed professionally, that way it will only be a matter of maintaining the paintwork rather than being a slave to it.

It was good timing that you mentioned about needing the camber adjustment bolts as I had some unused ones in the boot that were surplus to requirements.
