Unfortunately years of weathering and washing take their toll on the sticker and they start looking faded.

I thought it was a JDM car through and through, I do know some of it's history but there are some areas which need the details filled in which I am planning to get around to when the car comes off the road properly some time in early October.
The plan is at this point is for a full nuts and bolts strip down, there are areas of the paintwork which require attention and these will be sorted out when it has a full repaint including the engine bay area as part of the planned restoration project.
Well that's a spoiler for a future thread anyway.

I can't say that I have noticed the 1st gear being tall, but then again I have no point of reference and I have been granny shifting the gearbox on the limited times that I have driven the car.

The 'Type UK' 22B's (of which there were just 16 made) had a blank plate where the plaque goes and were fitted with UK spec adjustable headlamps. They also had their CWP's changed from 4.444:1 to 3.9:1 (approx. 15% taller gearing), organic AP Racing twin-plate clutch and softer rear coil springs.
The transmission mods made a HUGE difference!
The only downside (if it is a Type UK) is you'll need to find one of these badges:-

....which may be difficult
Also they didn't come with fog covers.

Here's the only interior pic i have to hand of my old JDM 22B, you'll notice the difference with the centre console and numbered plaque to the front of the coin tray:-

As for the gearing I will have to check that out, do you have any in gear comparisons for mph for me to check against?

Try this Ty, I think it costs a fiver and you have to be quite detailed and specific in what information you ask them as it actually goes across a desk.

Well I've bought a Lamco steering column mounted boost gauge in white, so that's one taken care of.
So I now need to find a set of three white Lamco gauges to contain oil pressure and temperature plus probably voltage as well.

The Prodrive mats are still in the packaging, sealed up and untouched.
Okay no worries. I have some original Type UK 22B mats that I would have swapped for the Prodrive ones.
