For me the amazing thing with that timed 100 metres was that they were slower over the distance on bikes with a running start than top sprinters are from the blocks!

I noticed that, can't be right surely. Would they not be doing circa 30mph on a racing bike?

Would love to know how much faster he would have been with the bike running properly. Was a pretty spectacular piece of machinery either way.

Then he gave the trophy to his mechanic, apparently he doesn't keep any of his trophies and gives them all away to mates

To even get on that bike was madness. When he first started it in his garage, Jesus that engine sounded bloody scary...

I do like guy Martin though, he seems down to earth and he's super brave. Just watch the tt videos and the ulster GP races

Enjoyable watch, and it *looked* as though they worked hard to make the program.

The conveyor belt of participants taking place , would have freaked me time start with

- you'd have thought they could have done the testing on the bike before the left these shores though.

Maybe in the company of the guy who first fitted the turbo.

I don't know if it's been posted before but there's a new Guy Martin programme on channel 4 at 9pm today, Our Guy in India, where Guy travels to India to race his bike in a 2 part documentary
