Carberry rom??
You're not bursting my bubble so don't worry about it.
I've seen enough back biting and bunfights between tuners on here and 22b to know it all leads to the same old thing. Tuners slag eachother off behind eachothers backs and to eachothers faces in public they are all nice as pie except for those that really hate eachother, and there's a few of those around but it's the same ole same ole.
I could't give a stuff what anyone does or doesn't say about me or my work, it makes no difference to me whatsoever. I won't be drawn into a bunfight no matter what, another reason why a rarely come here. And if you think you're exposing something and it makes you feel good and it fills your day, maybe you think you're doing the public a service, again it makes no difference to me. You can't make everyone happy all the time.
I get on about my business quietly, and i don't bother anyone. I've got lots of other tuners mapping and the reasults of that mapping on my laptop and whether i think it's good or bad is irrelevant, i don't go around taking the **** ebcause life's too short to be doing any of that and i've got too much to do, but if that's what makes your day go for it.
My customers tell me if they are happy or not. They tell me what their cars were like after previous remaps, and after i'm done the general concensus is very good.
If they aren't happy i'm not happy, i return their cars to what they were like and they don't pay, simple as that.
In my experience it's usually those that you're taking business off that have the most to complain about. And if you're enough of an irritation they'll do whatever it takes to stop that from happening by means fair or foul.
It's true to say though.....Whatever goes around, comes around. Remember that on your way down.

Yes....I'm cheaper than a rebuild, and I'll be down again very soon. More customers cast offs to catalogue and be truly amazed by!!
Offering free Dyno runs just to see what's playing on the jukebox....And a free remap afterwards...FPMSL!!
That very same customer who took advantage of said free dyno runs wasn't very happy after having his wishes for his ECU not to be touched, completely ignored. But then this is something both the customer and I discussed beforehand and knew was on the cards so you got your wish
However, he seemed to really like the results on a certain South West tuners rollers (which he paid for) on Saturday. The tuner was very complimentary about the results and didn't feel the need to rape the customer's ECU just to see what was on it, nor to slag off anyone's tuning in the process, but then some people are so feckin predictable, unprofessional and arrogant it makes it far too easy to give them something to get their hooks into and bring out their true colours.
Keep it up.....
P.S. I was doing fine, and now i'm doing even better. Thanks for asking.

I was asked to rectify the EML that kept coming on due to the EGT probe being removed. I removed the map and modified it prior to the car going on the rolling road. I only saw to fit to comment on the car/map as I saw it, ie detting it's **** off, pulling up to 8+ degrees of igniton at light and WOT and running quite lean.
I have all the proof of this, log files, the map, the dyno graphs and even had the customer sat in the car showing him what was going on.
Unfortunately of course, as he isn't a tuner, he couldn't understand what I was telling him and chose to leave it alone other than the EML fix.
In fact here's a little bit of the log.
How the engine is still in one piece after your attack on it is amazing to be honest
You still haven't explained yet why you haven't increased the load scale on this car ?
Or why the ecu is having to do quite so much work correcting the obviously over advanced igniton ?
A dyno run on it's own won't show the flaws in the map to an under equipped or inexperienced operator, as the stock ecu is very good at correcting poor work by amateurs. Saw another example of that in the last hour.
Rowleys were probably the TUNER you mentioned as rolling roading it and as far as I am aware they don't have access to data logging on the OEM ecu and they certainly don't map them.
Steve Simpson does all their mapping work, I'll send him the map and logs I pulled off it if you like and we'll see what he has to say about it ?

Regards the comment on if the customers happy I'm happy has nothing to do with how good the map is Francis !!!
Most people want more power from a remap , plain and simple
Ok just give em a fuel tweak , bit of timing and some Wgdc and bobs your uncle
99% will be happy , so you're happy and off you go to the next punter
And as for bun fight , you're the one who's been running round claiming certain pro mappers are blowing cars up
To any guys reading I will give you more power
For £50 and I too will not bother with scaling anything won't do your fueling or timing
You'll be happy cuz your car will feel quicker , but I can't guarantee your car won't be fecked in 6 month
Because that's what's happening " any takers "

From what i saw looks to me it's some personal issues from the past
...But all it matters to me is how my car is running and the best to judge how it did run in extreme conditions on the track... And it ran superb...

Rubish people you say... TBH in this whole situation yourself is looking a bit unprofessional and rubbish Martyn.... Simillar situation was with Dynamix ages ago , instead of advising Engine Tuner switched on WE KNOW EVERYTHING thing . I'm being neutral in here and seeing another Scoobynet slagging match... Only if it keeps feeding your egos , carry on
Makes me laugh this stuff as ive had a rubbish map from one of the tuners on this thread. And ended up paying another well known mapper to put it right. kettle and pot comes to mind.
I couldn't give a **** about egos ,reputations , financial gain
The last time I was involved in a thread with Francis it involved him slagging another mapper accusing him of blowing engines , and telling me to keep my nose out and let him charge whatever he likes , bollocks to that
The guy has not done himself any favours in the professional conduct department from the off , and btw if you think it's just martyn doin the slagging off your highly mistaken , it's just that martyn has said it on here , and no one else has the *****

My point was man with laptop and cable comes on scene and is the best thing since sliced bread
Now everyone has to start somewhere ,I accept
But to come and have the arrogance to say I'll charge what I want and I'm way better than x y z is a bit ott IMO

It was rubbish. Imo. Car didnt drive nice nor make anywhere near expected power. different mapper extracted 50 more hp and by far a better drive. I do no what was wrong and i am talking 4 or 5 years ago. Everyone starts somewhere and everyone makes mistakes. Its how those mistakes are put right thats important
Most will do a safe but solid power map
I was speaking to a very very well known tuner who pushed a car at the customers request and it went **** up
He was told your pushing it
" nah do it "
Bang , guess who got the blame

Very true , some mappers will take things closer to the edge , at the customers request / insistence
Most will do a safe but solid power map

. When it blowing, poping and farting back through the air intake like an old skool ford with no choke lol. Then theres a problem
I do agree and ive had maps on several cars over the years by most of the well known tuners. I dont map and have no intetest in doing so. But as a long serving vechicle tech. I do know when a cars running well or not
