I read that as well but you have to take that into context I don't know how much xboxone sold world wide but it has to in the millions already so I would not lose any sleep over a few complaints.SJ.

 

There is a youtube clip of disc drive failures for Xbox one but as already said there is millions of consoles so you have to expect some problems.

 

I can't believe how happy the fella was who picked up the one I auctioned off. He had a really big, cheesey grin on his face. I'm sure he was in his late forties, but he was grinning like a big kid. His parting words were to the effect of "You won't believe how happy you've made someone". That (and a few beers) will help me sleep at night.

I had my start price at the cheapest BIN hopeful I would haven't just 1 bid to get me £600 as would have been a nice quick £170 profit but some nutter fro about 5 miles away from me came with the cash after auction had ended said he was desperate to buy one for himself as he was missing playing online with his mates!
It was a Day one so had Forza on Digital Download

The funniest auction I saw was for the Fifa download code. Someone had used the console photo, but was only selling the game. It was over £310 at one point. Someone must have pointed it out to the bidders, who suddenly started pulling their bids. You'd think people would read the adverts more carefully.

So are all of you who kept your Xbones recommending them? Has anyone played anything other than Forza/Fifa?

 

I've played Killer Instinct and it's brilliant. Awesome looking and a manic, over the top fighter!

It's a classic 720 vs 1080p argument. It got a slagging when it was announced that it was going to be "only" 720p. It looks simply awesome and a country mile superior to anything on 360 or PS3, looks wise (for a fighter).

I'm so far, very impressed with how the XBO is looking. I genuinely wasn't expecting it.

 

From what I understand Forza is actually cut down compared to the earlier Forza games and not all the functioniltiy of the game works (the Forza marketplace) that's according to my mates who've played Forza quite a lot.

Played Dead Rising 3 and it's a blast ...literally with some of the weapons I was messing around with.

Ryse is simply stunning,short but stunning...hopefully Crytek will use the same game engine for a new Crysis game

Plated COD Ghosts which was ok . Played a bit of the campaign but more importantly it's split screen in MP which is good to see.

 

Forza 5 is not as indepth as 4, but it's certainly not an issue. There is plenty to the game. The marketplace is not up and running yet, but DLC via the store is.

 

I'm loving it a lot better then I expected so smooth, I want the Gladiator game Ryse I think looks well good.

 

I set my expectations very low. You lot aren't helping. I really do want one now

I dont think it will come to Xbone before PC. I think they will have to do PC first then port it to next gen as X86. If it even comes to PC.

Before Xbone launch the £20 deposit tokens were changing hands for £50-£60.

The PS4 ones are now selling for £100+...

Makes me wonder if Sony are going to outsell MS this time round.

 

Got an email from Zavvi saying payment for my PS4 will be taken and delivery in friday. Fingers crossed as only pre-ordered on Nov 10th.

 

im looking forward to GT6 more than my PS4 at the moment LOL, been Playing GT5 again and i have to say, for all you Forza Boys you really need to have a go on GT5 in my book its one of the best.. Each race is soo close when you get into pro leagues, even with a mad tunes lexus LFA hes sniffing my ****

 

I've had "a go" with each GT incarnation and will be getting GT6 next month...... Forza is still awesome and GT does nothing to detract imo.

 

I'm amazed they bothered with GT6 on the PS3.
I have tried and tried to love the GT series but I just can't get on with it. Whether it's the convoluted menu system or the invisible barriers or the **** controller I don't know.
Any road up, I sold my PS3 today. Clear some space and get a bit of money for it before values fall through the floor.

 

It makes absolute commercial sense to bring GT6 to the PS3 - the installed base is huge compared to the PS4.

One of the "gripes" with GT is that it has not really evolved much. You could suggest that it was great to begin with, so why change something that aint broke. Whilst that may be true to an extent, the series has gone a bit bland over time and I think it needs to evolve. To me GT isn't "fun" anymore.

 

I just got my XBOX ONE,what I'm still trying to figure out MICROSOFT is how much would it of really cost you to supply a built in rechargeable controller?as much as you have done a very good job on making it less chunkier and the buttons nicer,two AA batteries,sort it out Bill apart from that one rub the console is a vast improvement over the 360 I have DEADRISING 3,RYSE,and FIFA 14,with FORZA on route,as soon as they get more AAA game Exclusive's it should give the PS4 a run for its money I will find out this coming FridayP.S Next Gen GEARS OF WAR please.SJ.

 

A few complaining on OcUK Forums about their consoles having scratches on the top straight out of the box.

 

Not me,but we all have to take these internet complaints with a pinch of salt as selling 1 million consoles in 24 hours is some feat,and to be fair in that scale of things one can expect some mishaps.SJ.

Heard on the news that MS are giving people that have experienced problems with their XBO a code to download a free game. Can't say fairer than that.

 

If in doubt give it a clout...

 

It'll be interesting to hear what owners of both consoles think of them in comparison, I'll get an XBO in the new year no doubt of that but I can't help but wonder which is the better overall choice?

I know technically the PS4 is the better machine but which will be the better gamers machine?

 

Who ever has the best and most selection of exclusive AAA titles and a perfect online base will win this next Gen battle,but definitely on paper the PS4 is going to be bossing it when it comes out from this Friday,but since having my own XBOX ONE I personally think this is going to be the tightest console battle yet.SJ.
