The paintwork repairs have now been carried out by Ryan, I do like fresh paintwork and how it looks like liquid gloss.

So in terms of the bodywork there are some very minor paintless dent repairs and a damn good machine polish left to be carried out, just the new brake discs / past all round left and then it's off for a mapping session including with JGM at Indigo GT.

Thanks Ozz, you're right not too far away now.
Thanks Si, I'll be in bloody tears when if happens - best drive it home on a dry day, on billiard table smooth roads and no chippings or cow poo on the road. If that's the case it'll never see a UK Road.
I know what you mean Simon, it's a shame that they don't stay looking that way as the glossy finish looks brilliant

It's not been done yet but I believe that Ryan will be using products from Wurth, plus another good underseal is used engine oil, it will burn off so it'll smell for a while but it offers good protection.

I've used Wurth products myself at a previous job, they can be expensive but you won't buy better.

It's surprising how many bodyshops use their products, they make some really good products but you certainly pay for the privilege.
I've got the genuine STi McGard wheel nuts ready to go on mine, there are some sets on eBay they're good quality, another set worth looking at are the Volks Formula wheel nuts. Both sets aren't exactly cheap but well worth it in my eyes, as the McGard and Volks nuts require a special key you have in effect got 20 locking wheel nuts.
As for the brake discs and pads they came from Alyn @ As Performance because as I sourced all the service and other parts from him he did me a good deal. I'd happily recommend Godspeed brake discs as I've had them on 2 previous Impreza's and never had a problem.
Thanks Cliff, I'm hoping so.
Did you ever fit that quick shift kit I sold you? I'm looking to buy another and I'm interested in your opinion of it.

You've really gone to town on this car Ty! When you get bored of making it even nicer please give me first refusal on it
This has to be one of the nicest 202's around! I've just picked up another Classic that I think you'd like a look over
Dave.

I'd definitely like a good look at a nice classic, if I can make an excuse to get out then I'll drop you a line and arrange something.
No, not yet Ty. It's still in the box, sitting here looking at me. My circumstances are possibly changing, and I may need to sell/break the car, so I've done nothing at the moment. If I do get it fitted, I'll let you know what it's like...

Had a look at the McGard on ebay, will be getting a set of those, as for brakes I am thinking of getting two piece discs, I had a set of grooved discs from godspeed last time with orange stuff pads but they warped after about 500 miles so thinking of a floating set this time.

Thanks Daz, I'm looking forward myself to getting a chance to drive it myself.
As one of my old bosses used to say:

f you are refering to the locking nuts those are great with the rotating shroud as you can't just wack a socket over them. I would recommend getting a spare removing key socket as they are not that strong and i've had 2 break on me. We had to weld the spinning part to the nut to get them off, nightmare job!
Dave.
