Thanks Simon.
Thanks Lee, I might just have it back before Xmas but like I've said it'll only be parked up until the spring.
If we have a run over Xmas though it might just make an appearance.

Not too much has happened with the car as yet, I have sourced some genuine Subaru JDM tax disc holders plus a lightweight crankshaft pulley to add to the nice stash of parts I have waiting fitment to the car.
All the service items have arrived from AS Performance, all that remains that I need to source are some genuine Subaru door window deflectors but they can wait until next pay day.
I am in no rush to get the car on the road (yet) as I will only be parking it up over the worst of the winter weather.

Nope, was thinking a classic sti 1999 onwards. Was tempted with swisstony's sport as a stop gap but have decided to wait.

Bit of an update.
I'm seriously considering selling the S202, I'm not too sure yet whether it'll be as is at the moment or getting the car 'completed' in terms of the minor paintwork issues, fully serviced and minor modifications having been carried out (in other words all the work I had planned having been carried out).
It's just down to really a lack of interest of my part, no other reason and I certainly don't need to sell the car as I could sit on it indefinitely if I needed to.
I may consider with PX or swop with cash either way (dependant on the car) on the following:
Evo 8/9
Skyline R32/33/34GTR
Audi Quattro
Escort Cosworth
Sierra Cosworth
Nothing is set in stone so I may change my mind, but if the S202 does leave my ownership then you will not find a better condition or more sorted example in the UK.

Your choice of course and if you really feel like that perhaps a break away form performance cars altogether is what you need.
Good luck with what ever you do.

Well you had a bad run of that there is no doubt but your through that now and come the spring you can enjoy the car for what it is.

Not sure I need a break from performance cars, perhaps I didn't take long enough to look around before buying the S202.
been toying with the idea of parting with mine too as wanting some bikes and new toys as only time I seem to use mine is back and forth work
I would just run it for a 12 month and relax while considering what to get next that's what I feel to be a good option. You can budget for your next step then... I've nearly had 12 months of ownership now and only driven the car once
but putting all the resto work to one side I have enjoy the driving break but damn I'm keen now to get back in the car refreshed.

I thought I'd fixed you earlier
As before, once the summer comes you will yearn for it mate.
Winter does strange things to guilt ridden subaru owners that suddenly realise when the nights draw in how much money they've pissed away while the sun was shining. I sold my GC8 WRX in winter, as soon as the sun came out I ached to get it back !
If you do sell it though you won't find better, as you simply won't find one

Thanks Kev.
I didn't see it coming until I started to think about what's happened the last year if I am being honest, only then did my mind start to wander as did my enthusiasm.

Was awesome once you realise these cars are for using in the here and now and not for preserving or stressing over

I may feel differently once the car has been completed and I have had a chance to really experience what it is capable of.
Whatever happens it won't be up for sale until next year anyway and probably not until the spring unless someone comes along with an offer that can't be refused.

It has cost me a bloody King's ransom as I said in terms of losses encountered on the Spec C.
