I'm with you on this one. Since the hot weather came in, I've had a few cheeky pops and bangs on the over-run. It's not something I usually encounter. Sounds good tho

That's the second tank of Nitro+ consumed, and on mixed motoring (half the mileage a run from Salisbury-the Valleys via M4 and A roads and half chauffeuring the wife 9 miles to work and back) it returned 23-24, not much difference between the consumption, which proves I'm consistent with my driving I suppose.

Unfortunately I won't have the chance to do a similar eco-friendly run on Momentum but I'm of the opinion that Momentum does get me more to the gallon. It returns those figures when all the runs I've done are 2-3 milers and the odd 10-mile one, usually using the power of the car in overtaking bursts.

As I've said, it's not so much the economy and saving a few quid but the fact that it leads me to believe that Momentum is more efficient as a fuel, thereby making the engine more efficient etc. etc.

I'm also of the opinion that there's a noticeable difference in the car's running in one particular aspect, pulling low down the rev range.
A lot of my driving is in streams of traffic 30, 40 50mph limits etc. and I always try to keep the engine at 2K, so use the gears accordingly.
It's definitely more responsive at those revs on Momentum (turbo fully spools at 2800), which supports my view re. more efficient fuel.

For anyone worried about sticking 'Tesco petrol' in your car (as I first was) I can certainly say "get on with it - what are you waiting for?"

Just one word of caution - not every Tesco sells Momentum, so make sure you don't go on an empty tank.
My local one sells it, but a much larger store 9 miles away doesn't, strangely.

I drive in London, so not much chance for top end, and after hearing everyone's experience, I'm going with Momentum when my car goes in for a map!
