I was under the impression just getting out of the car is considered escalating the issue and you can be prosecuted on that basis?

Like what has been said dont worry about it mate, I have reported dangerous and abusive drivers but nothing ever gets done. I now have a camera fitted to the car so if anything does happen and it escalated to physical contact then I can prove it was in self defence, by having the sound muted that is

Well, after being away for a few days and getting back home nothing seems to have occurred, no messages/visitations. I'm saddened in some ways about this as it sums up why people are so reluctant to 'have a go' in the sense of standing up for what is right. Next time I won't bother - I may well go down the camera route and let the images do the talking if it comes to court. Will keep you posted if anything occurs.

it could be that after the police have spoke to him they have concluded that there was no offences at all and you don't have anything to answer to - so no visit required
