Like most on here Iv had loads of cars & always seem to run at least two cars in addition to the wife's car. My list is based on the most memorable & fun cars Iv owned.
5.Audi 80 2L estate. Bought this as a bit of a work horse on the cheap & loved it. Went well enough & handled well never let me down & took loads of abuse.

4.Audi A3 2L TDI. Only just sold this, bought this as a second car to run through the winter & when I didn't want to use the Scooby. Loved this car, pulled really well & drove really well, but needed a 4 door after the arrival of my youngest daughter so had to go.

3. Golf MK2 16V GTI. I drove it like I stole it everywhere, not the quickest in a straight line but a great drivers car.

2. Mitsubishi Starion Turbo. Bought this off someone I knew when they mentioned they were thinking of selling up, thought it was a bit crap but got a good deal. How wrong I was, over 200BHP in a light weight chassis & RWD made this massive fun.

1.V3 STI. Love this car, have had highs & lows but it's the car that Iv had the most fun with & can't bare to sell it. I bought it standard & have taken it to well over 400BHP.

The worst car Iv owned was a metro turbo which I hated & broke down evry two weeks & cost a fortune to run.

Worst by miles, 1973 beige Morris Marina 1.3 followed by a dreadful 1990 Passat 1.8 estate

Best would be either the BMW or the Golf R32 but theVW Cali is also brilliant in non driving-enthusiast ways.

After that its the mk2 Golf Gti then the Mk3 Golf Gti 16v.

I have owned my fair share of rubbish over the years,,,the one I absolutely hate the most ..Golf mk1 total unreliable junk....the biggest shamer Lada riva in metallic mould. Great cars but too unreliable rangey vougue se and S type R Jag 460bhp. Most regretted sale my P1 bought new and the jag mentioned. My current favourite is my 1995 motorhome,I have been away 14 out of last 15 weekends ,brill old thing . Also enjoying the cs400 so far its still a keeper.

At school one of my friends Dads had a Morris Ital, it was something of a joke.

The Mk 5 R32 Golf I briefly owned might be my favorite car that I have owned, except it had a few niggles which stopped it being a great drivers car. One was the fact that there was a perceptible delay between pressing the go faster pedal and the throttle opening. Second, was that I could just not heel-toe it; bad pedal placement, plus that delay contributing to this fail, I don't think the ECU liked brake and loud pedal being pressed together too. Annoyed me a lot. As a car to cruise about in it was super nice though, very comfy, well built, solid, felt very planted and loads of grip, lovely engine with an awesome note.

5 - AE86 twin cam corolla - my first modified car - drove it to death
4 - MX5 (2nd gen) - still have it
3 - 944 S2 - car I wanted since childhood, recounted the story on here several times. Got the opportunity to buy a perfect example, not a fast car but for balanced handling, it is a fine line between this and the MX5 - still have this one.
2 - MY00 impreza - love how this car looks, love how it sounds, puts a smile on my face from the moment I turn the key in her. Still have this one too.
1 - MK1 Seat Leon - the most reliable car I have ever owned, the only car I have ever bought from new 187,000 miles of completely trouble free motoring, and returns 60 mpg regardless of how I drive her. Still have this one, but will be for sale shortly.

Worst cars;
1993 Ford Mondeo V6 - unreliable, slow, nose heavy, uneconomical P.O.S!!!
1987 Metro 1275 Sport - needed to carry a dust pan and brush to sweep up the rust. On a warm day the ride height increased by about 30mm - hydragas suspension, funny angle on the steering wheel reminiscent of a bus.

There was an absolutely essential VW ECU upgrade for the mk4; without it the car had a horrible hesitation around 2.5k rpm. After it was done, the engine felt superb and it apparently released more horses too. Had it for a year then moved to Bristol and had to sell it after too many attempts at theft.

I lost count at over seventy cars, lots of them were rubbish but a few have been worth remembering, my list isn't best or worse it's the order I had them in,
BMW 2002. First nice car
Daimler Sovereign First car (for me)with aircon. and central locking
BMW 325i Touring. Loads of fun
BMW Z3 M Coupe Loved the looks and performance but not big enough
Audi RS6 avant 505 hp Loved the comfort and performance but not the huge costs.
I've got a my 2002 WRX now that's not on the road, I'm using it for track days and I've gone all sensible and got a BMW 320d for the road

2 cars owned so far,

1st was a red ****roen saxo vtr, bought because my idol won the jwrc in one. Sebastian loeb. Always liked citroens, still do. Great little car, fun handling, was my pride and joy for 8 years and little went wrong with it in that time considering french cars have a less than perfect reliability perception. Anthracite speedlines, sparco pro 20000 seats it was my little tarmac rep rally car.

And the best car ive owned, my current car. 97 jdm dc2 type r

Such a dialled car, its unreal how much feedback you get through the wheel and seat of the pants. Amazing grip, great engine, brilliant handling, the car feels light as a feather when your throw it around. The only issue I have with it is the harshness on motorway trips (I live in nw cumbria and my girlfriend in matlock in derbyshire) great going over roads like the cat and fiddle but the engine and road noise on the motorways can start to grind on you a little. It isnt what the cars intended for which I understand but, if that car had more power lower down the rev range, torque and a little more refinement on long trips it would be unbeatable the for a sub 5k car.

Car number 3????

This is my issue, do I have the dc2 resprayed and buy bits and pieces for it, or make the change to something else?

Evo vi is gettinga little long in the tooth, my dream car the r32 gtr is still expensive and will really chew the fuel, the sti wrx 04 on dccd=understeer. The Evo 8 mr fq320 is still outa my price range although id love one,

No idea what to do. ?

Id like a newer car with a couple of mod cons but want a great drivers car that follows the dc2. It has to be japanese of course

Best cars

1, Evo 6 RSX
Lightweight, no ABS, RS-diff(No AYC) proper drivers car, was mint, and plenty of power, cried when I was forced to sell it.

2,Hawk STi
Only had it 3 months, so dont know if its new car syndrome, but everything about this car ticks the boxes for me at the moment, fast and great for everyday use

3,Blob WRX
Bought it when it was 6 months old completly standard, spent £12k on modifications, so had a soft spot for it, wasn't the fastest car I had, but thing because I was always spending on it, I had that bond!!

4,Pug 106 Gti
Bought this as my first car, felt like the quickest thing on the planet, and to be honest was quick for a little 1,6 16v car at the time, remember having a blast against a S3(210bhp) and there was not much in it.

5,Fiesta TDCi
Still got this car, Use this car everyday, Park it anywhere and not worry about car park dents, cheap tax (£30 a year) great on diesel, and never lets me down, Just replaced front discs and pads cost me £50!!!

Worst cars

1,Audi TT
What a waste of a car, Hated everything about this car, to small, no point in having back seats, and for 225bhp was slow!!

2,Evo VII GSR
After owning scoobys, I was under the impression that Evo's where the next step up from Subaru ownership, How wrong was I, car was rolling roaded at 370bhp but would struggle to keep up with Impreza's with less bhp, plus the AYC did my head in.

3,Evo VI GSR
Went to buy a scooby and come back with this pile of crap, Car was clean, sounded nice, but boring to drive!!!

4,Renault Clio 1,2
Used to be my run about car, before the Fiesta. What more can I say, its a Renault, bits drop off, electrics pack up, in the end the car died!!

5,Golf Mk3 GTI
Didnt get on with this car, had to many problems with it, and didnt seem to live upto the GTi badge!!!

306 gti6 - worst car, but only because it was old and unreliable
Subaru impreza turbo saloon - perfect family car.
Subaru Impreza turbo saloon - great car, but unsuitable for a Labrador!
Audi s4 avant - fast but ultimately boring.
Golf gti mk5 - most reliable car ive ever owned.
Porsche 996 Carrera 4 - best car by far.
