Whilst some people will crucify me for dragging up the whole 2.0 v 2.5 debate, I've driven both, and fell in love with the 2.5! Just a shame IM & Subaru couldn't get it right 1st time - would of saved a lot of people a lot of money and stress!
What is the ballpark cost of forge pistons & good HG

No complaints. It was ridiculas about 4/5years ago, now with cars being broken for parts and more mappers out there its calmed a little to about perfect but no one has an patience anymore. A week is usually okay but people no longer happy to wait two weeks which is good its calmed down a bit. We as a nation want everything now

It depends on the make and components used to be honest. if you looking to the pin the HG as well.

The quote I got including labour and total build with ARP head studs was £2200.

What ! Do you still travel ?

I'd have thought your Android App. could remote map the car whilst it's going round the Nurburgring....

dunx

P.S. If I had the money I'd buy a franchise, I told Tweaks that he should trade as "The Jolly Smog Monster" after mapping my diesel Golf to GTI levels of nippiness....
