PSI3 ECU DATA MONITOR
They - their legal eagles - know where they stand.
IF they published they'd ask the company for their side of the story, and presumably it would be the same.
TBH I don't think they'd touch it, and it would probably add to your frustration.
You could try posting on forums something like "has anyone around the (local area) used a company called xxxxxx and had their car returned having done an unexpected amount of mileage?"
A number of positive replies would enable you to start a dossier, and of course the more smoke the greater the chances of a fire being started.

I think the manufacturing rights were bought out by Ecutek who made the monitors under their own name. However when mapping mushroomed they discontinued the monitors and concentrated on mapping hardware and software. These units are like bloody rocking horse **** now and only come up for sale very occasionally.
These units were made by and individual who worked for an electronics company. The chap has now left but the company will still repair these units for £100. Ecutek bought the rights to this unit but are no longer made. They come up for sale on here and eBay sometimes. You can get a Scan Gauge which does they very same thing but is quite small so isn't single din size.

The Scangauge needs to be programmed to accurately provide certain information.

Thats a hint at why the company was called Psi3 - it was formed by three guys all called Simon. Not naming names but Simon J was one of the guys that worked for an electronics company (the same one that will fix em still) and he owned Imprezas and Foresters and was quite active on here, but has disappeared off the planet and doesnt work for the electronics company any more.
One of the other Simons, Simon B, is still at Auwell (the electronics company) and is the guy to email/speak with regarding repair of these.

Did not one of them work for Power Engineering who were a couple of doors along on the Uxbridge Industrial estate. Hence Power Eng. were amongst the first to offer the EcuTek programing on the Phase II classics?
