Right!!!!ive just been in my loft as TT asked me a question about brakes and i was planing to start moving some more things up to Neil at Slowboys,so i got the most costly part of my project out from the loft which are these bad boys AP BRAKES,after long talks with Alyn of ASP about my plans and driving style he recommended me the AP set up,i also got Alyn to machine me a set of Performance Friction 08 pads to fit the AP calipers front and rear,i thought that i would get some more PF RH665 DOT 4 brake fluid as i made the transition about 2.5 years ago now and rate it highly,so the AP fluid will be going in my wifes car,my thinking has always been a pint glass for a pint of water if you get my drift,or in Laymens terms because my engine plans was serious power my brakes had to be serious and fit for purpose to control i.e stop the power as well, here are a few pics before i box them up again, next stop on my car.SJ.

AP BOX SET

6 POT FRONT CALIPER.

FRONT AP DISC.

4 POT REAR CALIPER.

REAR AP DISC.

FLUID LINES AND PADS.

PF RH665 DOT 4 BRAKE FLUID.

Thanks Paul,no finish date at the mo just letting things run there course at the moment I'm not really worried as I know Neil will do a Stella job,he treats every persons cars with respect and is very meticulous when it comes to rebuilds so I'm in very safe hands.my wife is also running her own project thread with her classic as she will be getting a lot of my car put into hers it's funny but I'm more excited about her car then my own.her car needed more thought as nothing was plain sailing and required quite a lot of bespoke mods,I will keep both threads updated when there is something new to add, there will be quite a few things being sold off of my wife's car so keep your eyes and ears open you still have first dibs on the apexiSJ.

Yeah I had a peruse when you guys 1st put hers up. I'm very excited to see both cars finished tbh. I do love seeing a unique classic though as it gives me ideas lol. Top Man on the apexi thank you very much. I've been collecting some more parts as well lately so hopefully next time I see you we can swap war stories.

Thanks Craig, when I first was going to upgrade I took a good look at my options originally I was going to go with the KSport or D2 but my wife asked me what I really wanted deep down and AP was always at the front of my mind because of there track record for build quality and there race heritage, with only the cost swaying me i decided to put the brakes on a back burner untill i had enough money to purchase them, and im so glad i did.SJ.

Now that is a set of brakes... Stunning indeed, cost aside what an investment in stopping power 2.5 years in the attic ? You have some patience

As I mentioned before my car will be turning into a two seater as the plan is that when it is built and set up it will be more a track based toyAfter talking to Neil about my plans of bucket seats I was trying to find some that could accommodate my physic I'm not a fat boy but i am naturally broad and tonk,Neil took out one of his sparco seats out of his track car for me to try out which are the sparco evo 1,I was surprised along with Neil that I could fit in it it was a little bit snug but not uncomfortable,Neil gave me one of his contacts that he deals with personally,Mark@ Silverstone Autosport, who gave me a very good price for two sparco evo2,he ordered me a set from Italy so the dates on the seats where fresh as can be.I also got a pair of buddy club seat frames from Alyn of AS PERFORMANCE.I also have been eyeing up a new steering wheel as i have always used momo wheels for as long as i have been into modifying cars,so my order was placed and wheel and boss should be arriving soon,i also went for the quick release boss like my wife on her project build but a different name brand as i cant have my wife upstaging me,Heres a few pics of seat, rails and my new Schroth harnesses that I have always highly rated.more to comeSJ.

SPARCO EVO 2 2013 DESIGN.

I have to say I really hate threads like this - they really don't help me as I try and resist going mad on an engine and gearbox build for my car

Some choice parts there that'll turn it into a beauty of a motor
