Hi,Everyone just thought I would give you a sneek peek at some of my interior workings including, rear firewall, replacement seat bench and parcel shelf it was a anniversary present from my wife,it's still a work in progress but you should get the ideaplus I am getting my OMP fire extinguisher fitted as well. The firewall is quite unique as it is made out of GRP the same as a cobra bucket seat,I just wanted something abit different as carbon has been done to death now and it's still Super lite which is a good thing.SJ.

Looking good SJ

how does the weight saving compare to the addition of the fire extinguisher?

Well I weighed everything that I removed from the car to compare with the new parts that I would be fitting and the firewall and extinguisher and my new seats and seat frames weight about the same as one and a half Sti seat and I still have my airbags passenger and steering wheel and airbag aircon other brackets still to come out so I reckon I would be saving quite a few KG when I'm finished anything that's not needed is coming out.SJ.

Actually, for the first time I've read the whole thread. Great build mate.

I personally wouldn't have painted the block black though, makes spotting leaks harder IMO.

Other than that, it's all good.

Very very nice mate

I love the parcel shelf.

Thinking of doing my firewall again in a lighter material or just thinner ally. Is there any kind of support behind the firewall? Does it flex? Worries I might put a bend in a lighter/thinner material as I often lean against it when working in the back

Thanks mate. It's got some flex but would never break, unless you was using it as a trampoline,it's made out of GRP the same stuff as a standard entry bucket seat so it's proper light whilst still being strong,it was part of my plans to get one the only problem is that it's custom made,so after everything it worked out nearly costing the same price as a carbon fibre firewallbut atleast I know there won't be anyone with one designed like it just yetSJ.

Can I make a suggestion?

I'll assume you're retaining your Defi's? Put the boost and Fuel pressure in the A-pillar pod that you already have.

Then you can easily keep an eye on both, to see that the fuel pressure rises with the boost pressure.

I Would do,but the pods hold different size gauges, anyway I'm quite use to the layout as I have been clocking them that way for over 9 yearsSJ.

well after being brainwashed by the scoobynet mishimoto advertisementsI ordered one,It took a while to get to me as the X/LINE model(upgraded version)were not in stock, but it is here nowI am happy as it marks my last modification that i thought that i wanted to upgrade for my project(for now anyway)After reading the blurb about there products i decided it would be the right time to upgrade as nearly everything on my build has been, plus there no quibble lifetime guarantee sold it for meits a mod that most over look as they dont usually(subaru radiators)go wrong and when they do you just get another one simples!!!but thats what projects are about improving on an already excellent base.subaru enthusiast you got to love em.....SJ.

MISHIMOTO RADIATOR AND FAN SHROUD.

Almost forgot the mishimoto radiator hoses.

Could have taken the rad etc out the wrapping for a decent picture.

Are the fans plug and play, or do you have to chop the plugs off your OEM ones?
