710 cap painted black
Brake fluid cap painted need to do something with the clear plastic though
Thanks to mark cowdrey for them
Most get the cotton buds out though
Love the black ,green and gold as I like a bit of bling
Still lots to do though after a bit clean
I was going to get the alternator done in black untill
Locky the master sent me this ultimatum
Gold
Will tone in with cdf pullies ,washers and gold wheels and a nice contrast to the green
Green
Looks stunning but might be too much with the green Samcos and candy green plastics
Decisions decisons
In other news

There is 3 upgrades coming to the engine bay to complete it
Then
Then phase 2 arches and rust renovation Which will be Hugh and not pretty amd will scare people who want to buy an older Subaru
Phase 3 the full works underneath replaceing parts and powdercoating the rest going to be hard but Rob will be fired uo for the challenge
No one will see it but I will have some great mirrors and ramps to show it off
Phase 4 brakes and suspension Which will be intersting as well amd continue the wacky colour scheme that I love
I'm inspired by the 3/4 masters of the projects on scoobynet
( they know who they are on here )
Estimated Cost .......oops ....Er......we'll........Mmm.......
Three times what the car is worth right now
But hey it doesn't really matter in the end

Looks lovely! I think the alternator in gold or maybe even red would suit nicely and add to the variety of colours.
Also does this have the PPP fitted?

Standard engine since new just decatted and always ran well
Just turned 65k miles
Never saw any need to upgrade the power as its always been fast enough for me as standard
Although Alan as AS performance put on some Eibachs springs and droplinks and bushes and braided brake lines 12 years ago

Thought I better update this thread after 19 months
Been busy as always
With the engine bay nearly finished I thought I had better get in with sorting the arches
At year 9 a slight bubbling as with all uk models and finally after 14 years thought I had better get it sorted

On the operating table
Didn't look to bad until the cutting started
Oh dear
First panel fitted
Fitted and smoothed
Passenger side just as bad
Getting better
The greenwagons first paint for 15 years
Delighted with the colour match
Rear of sills cut back and sorted
I can recomend Keith
Old school craftsman who specialises in old cars and I wanted more then just a bodyshop and seeing sme of his projects I knew I had the right man for the job

Well as it was all in bits thought I would treat myself to some new BC coilovers
And calipers refurbished and new pads and discs and complete new brake pipes painted in Kawasaki green
Thanks to rob at Stan palmers for supplying
Collected it and the long journey back home with the L40URD
Had the ST2 refurbished by another old school craftsman
Spent a few happy hours with new Anglewax and Daz6
And got all the rear trim fitted back in
My rusty nuts sorted
Still a few bits to do
Show season with B-SPOC
went well
Nearly 17 years old
But with 2017 underway
Phase 4 starts this month

Been shopping
Thanks to Rob at Stan palmers for getting me some nice new stuff
Hardrace 10 piece set
A bit of whiteline
Although not happy with the colour
These look nice in the gold
Might as well have these too
Seems a shame not to add these to the collection
Just not happy with the silver ARB bars though so maybe a bit of blue might help

Got the new subframes front and back and wishbones along with loads of new nuts and bolts and bushes but the nice shiney black Didnt excite me
Also was not too keen on the silver colour of the ARB bars
So off to the painters it went with a sample of the hardrace to match up too
I was pleased when they came back
Don't envy the next job of taking all those rusty bits off ,rustproofing and then putting all these nice new bits in
But Rob is back to tackle phase Four
